Sorry, Brits, but those prices make me proud to be an American…

Yea but that could also mean the value of the dollar has fallen compared to the Euro. Not so good for us.

The PlayBook, which operates on QNX, is BY FAR the best multitasking OS available today. I have both the iPad and the PlayBook, and I will say that QNX blows away iOS. Apple can learn a lot from RIM’s PlayBook.

Specifically, what kind of multitasking can you do on the PB that you can’t on the iPad?

The main flaws I see with the iPad is the lack of a dedication OS-wide file storage system, and a Dashboard-like widgets screen.

Loving mine; got it the day after launch. My laptop has become a giant paper weight. Still need the desktop for things like photoshop and dreamweaver. No problems editing blogs and minor html fixes through my cpanel though.

I ended up buying one for my mother. Today she told me how much see loves it and how in the morning she just swipes to wake it and is reading her email in seconds. I found that last bit particularly funny as she doesn’t own a Blackberry; according to tech blogs and their commentators the Playbook doesn’t have email without one. Of course they must be living in the past because we should all know that the vast majority of consumers don’t use an email client; that went out of style over 5 years ago.

Does it do email yet? ;)

RIM really needs to solve that little (read: huge) problem. What other major tablet does not have an email client?

    • Anonymous

why do you need an email client? honestly? I guess having you email go to your work computer, home computer and phone aren’t enough. Such a joke that people think the email issue is in fact an issue.

Hope your all enjoying your bumper (bandaid) for your iphone.

Um, it is a big deal. The reality for business people today is that you need constant access to your email, and a browser-based version doesn’t cut it. Would you be okay with that new laptop you just purchased not having an email client?

Thats why you carry your smartphone dumbass….I dont know about you, but my phone doesn’t leave my side. I guess you walk around with your ipad everywhere, and when you get an email, you MUST reply on it cause your i(toy)phone isn’t good enough for some reason. Think about it, why on earth does a tablet NEED native email….the only answer, it doesn’t. Does it help, maybe for some stubborn people. But at least they’re pushing out a software update for it to please even the idiots like you pal. Can you say that for your iphone which has a HARDWARE defect? i think not.

So how are Playbook sales going? No word eh?

It’s going to be sold by “iPhone 4u”? Do you mean Phones 4u? Conspiracy by iBGR, I mean BGR.
