Sony: ‘At least a few more days’ before PSN service restored

On its PlayStation Network blog today, Sony gave an official statement on when the PlayStation Network will be back online. The short answer is “at least a few more days.” Sony has also promised that both Qriocity and PSN should be available by May 31, however, so it could take a bit longer, too. Both networks went down after Sony suffered a massive security breach during which hackers stole 12.3 million credit card numbers and compromised personal data from 101 million accounts. “I know you all want to know exactly when the services will be restored,” Sr. Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media Patrick Seybold wrote on Sony’s PSN blog. ”At this time, I can’t give you an exact date, as it will likely be at least a few more days. We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through this process.”

    There was a rumor of the xBox price coming down. If that holds true, thats my next system. Sorry it had to happen to PSN users, like myself who did nothing but play COD, but the network being down so much, I could care less when it comes back.

    But this really makes me thinking of moving to my xBox for all of my online gaming needs.

    I have both i love both. But Sony….. you suck.

    This is all a bunch of garbage who knows when it will actually be back up and if it wont just get taken right back down when it does come up. I feel like Sony is just trying to string its gamers along giving them reason to hope it will be back up soon so they all dont jump ship. They very well could have known from the beginning that it would take over a month to fix everything. But instead of saying so knowing that alot of people would have freaked out and jumped ship with the over a month timeline from the beginning they just keep pretending that its gonna be up soon to try to keep as many customers as they can. When really its gonna be the developers they have to worry about that wont want to take the risks of millions to produce games that consumers cant play.

      I totally agree with you they have said many deadlines yet they have broken them all. The hackers are just going to bring it down as soon as they put it back up anyways.

    Well i just can’t wait to get my 1 month free playstation plus. Because that definitely makes up for me being bored as hell with my PS3 and only want’s me to run right out and buy more sony products. The funny thing is i bet to get that 1 month free playstation plus you probably are going to have to enter your credit card info, which will just be hilarious ah ah ah ha ha ha ha lol.
