RadioShack offering HTC Inspire 4G for just $29.99

mobile

RadioShack quietly announced on Monday that it is now offering AT&T’s Inspire 4G for just $29.99 with a two-year contract for new AT&T customers and existing subscribers looking to upgrade. Though the Inspire is still a relatively young device that was just released in February, newer dual-core smartphones are already making it look a tad gray up top. Its specs are still respectable, however, and they include a 4.3-inch display, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Android 2.2 (Froyo), an 8-megapixel camera, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and HTC’s Sense UI. RadioShack’s price is the lowest we’ve seen from a reputable retailer, and it’s good from now through May 21st.

Nice little phone. But THIS is how Android makes in roads, Selling there phone for nothing and devaluing the brand.
    Why I hate HTC!

But a good phone for the money, expect in on Froyo!!

Oh, its not a dual-core phone Morons!

    • Anonymous

Wait let me get this right. Are you trying to say lagdroid phone is NOT dual core?

    • LookLively

There’s a reason why you don’t own a business. smh. This isn’t called devaluing product, its called cultivating customer loyalty. Start them out small, and they walk themselves towards higher end product that they previously balked at.

Oh, I do! and I can tell you that of the companies I deal with AGREE with me and don’t like to devalue their brand. Android is doing this. Crap phones for crap prices is what I see. Just sell the phones at a loss just to say we have more of a market share than Apple and iOS.

Doesn’t matter where you buy it from. Don’t be a pitiless consumer.

I just looked on RadioShack’s website, and it said $49.99.

  • Anonymous

4G as in LTE or 4G as in HSPA Double Plus?

  • missinglink

I’m only seeing $49.99 on the RadioShack’s website.

It still is a good deal. Makes me wonder why I just paid 179.99 for an HTC Thunderbolt. To be fair, the Thunderbolt actually runs on a 4G-LTE network – not the 3G-plus that AT&T calls “4G.”

Still, it is essentially the same phone …

I admit, I have the Inspire, which is essentially the Desire HD. Lots of stuff including CM7 in the development. And did play with the Thunderbolt, they are quite similar.

Am I missing something or this essentially an Evo? Can’t believe Sprint is still selling this phone at such a high price….

Same form factor but different phone. Its the DesireHD sold elsewhere in the world. Better graphics and cpu.

CDMA phones have a higher cost to make. That’s usually why gsm phones are cheaper.
