AT&T’s 10-inch HTC Puccini 4G LTE tablet leaked

mobile

Pocketnow has gotten its hands on a leaked press image of the HTC Puccini, a supposed 10-inch tablet that will likely run Android Honeycomb. The device looks similar to the HTC Flyer, known as the View 4G on Sprint, but with a slightly larger screen. It’s rumored that the Puccini could ship next month with support for AT&T’s 4G LTE network, although that’s a hard pill to swallow given that AT&T’s LTE network isn’t yet live. Other specs on the device are slim, but we hope there’s a dual-core processor on board, and maybe a newer version of HTC’s Sense user interface that’s better optimized for tablets.

Why would I want a tablet that says pocketnow(dot)com on the screen?

The 10 inch Puccini sounds lewd for some reason..

Yeah, LTE is unlikely. AT&T’s LTE Plans are up in the air right now and so far there are no signs that deployment has even begun. They changed their plans to activate LTE in the fall instead of summer back at CES. And after the T-Mobile news. It may have been delayed further.

Just because a company is keeping their launch date confidential doesnt mean it has been pushed back. They have had an lte compatible aircard for about 7 months now btw

So basically they’re stealing your money telling you that is LTE 4G.

huh? it is lte compatible, in the meantime it runs off the 3g network. i simply stated that to prove that this tablet possibly being lte wouldn’t be that odd

AT&T Sucks! What is so sweet PAPINYC? The horrible AT&T network which is the worst of the worst? Or the crappy Puccini? LMAO Puccini! Sounds almost as crappy as AT&T!

Hey, I’m waiting for a 3G/4G GSM 10″ Android tablet and, since the XOOOOOOOOM is still M.I.A., this may do nicely; especially since, I don’t use Apple tAmpons.

Will there be a WiFi only version? with Scribe technology? I might be interested in that.. only reasons I’m passing on the Flyer is the single-core processor and no Honeycomb outta the box.

Yawn…who cares? Looks as cheap and generic as all the other Android tablets.. The market is getting flooded with as many cheaply made run-of-the-mill tablets as there are garbage and cheaply made laptops that currently aren’t selling.. When will they learn?

If its launching in June. Its unlikely it will have LTE. AT&T’s
LTE Plans are up in the air right now, and so far there are no signs
that deployment has even begun. Back at CES, They changed their plans to
activate LTE in the summer and were instead going to activate it in the
fall. Thats why they started calling HSPA+ 4G, Which wasn’t their
original plan. Also, after the T-Mobile news. LTE may have been delayed
    even further…

Truth is we don’t know anymore due to the T-Mobile flux. They may surprise us, it would not be the first time AT&T went half arsed into something just to try and compete. VZW Has been beating them to death with LTE recently and I’m sure they want that monkey off their back.

    • youdontknowJack

it will be LTE late June/early July, it just wont be as many markets as Verizon had at their launch.

Check out AT&T they finally got smart and jumped on the android mother ship and pulled the apple out there butt.

    The tablet community is so
crowded right now. As a consumer, how should I know what to buy? A lot of
options but limited information of what’s best. HTC should not expect anything
when their Puccini hits the market. Can you still remember the highly
anticipated Xoom? Still, they will benefit from the shortage of iPad 2. Just
try to come up with a reasonable price and good marketing plan HTC!
