Live from Samsung’s AT&T Infuse 4G event in NYC

mobile

We’re here in New York City where Samsung just took the wraps off of the AT&T Infuse 4G, a device we first saw back during the Consumer Electronics Show in January. The Infuse 4G sports a 1.2GHz processor, a large 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, and an 8-megapixel camera. As its 4G name implies, it also supports AT&T’s 4G HSPA+ network. AT&T confirmed that it plans to add more than 20 4G devices to its lineup this year. Samsung’s Omar Khan explained that Super AMOLED Plus means there’s 50% more sub-pixels available on the screen, and that the screen should be much easier to view outdoors compared to similar displays. The Infuse 4G launches on May 15th for $199.99 with a new two-year contract — be sure to check out our hands-on ahead of our full review, which is coming soon.

      Copy-cat? So everything with a rectangle shape and a black touchscreen is copied from an iPhone? yeah… they should be ashamed ..for making the iPhone look like a breast fed baby.

    Allow me to sum-up your upcoming review:

    it’s tooooo big;
    it should be 3.5″ (or 4.0″);
    it doesn’t feel right;
    it weighs down our pocket;
    it’s not crApple;
    we can’t sync’ with iTunes;
    we really hate it but we’re saying we LOVE whilst here in the Samsung store at the Time Warner Center!

    • Gil54bert

      Go back to iPhones then… your too small for it..

  • Generatione

    2.2? No dual core? No thanks. I’ll just wait for the gs2 that will be probably the same price.

    Haha, Apple are gonna sue again!

  • Osanilevich

    why even have a press conference for a phone that was already announced? Really dissappointing, I was hoping for a GS2 or at least the new galaxy tab

    I doubt AT&T will have as many cities with 4G as they will 4G devices by the end of the year.

    att can add all the 4g device but the user experience will be the same on a crappy network that is nothing short of an epic failure much like buying a Testarossa but you live on a 12′x12′ island.

    AT&T Needs to quit calling these phones 4G. Really.. Have had the Inspire 4G from the day it has launched and still even with the update I cant seem to get over 3mbps. AT&T seems two years behind everyone else.
