Don’t worry, iPhone fans — 18 months from now, Banana, I mean Watermelon, I mean Apple will have a phone that works on a 4G network too!

Please don’t be upset with Stevie. He’ll explain it all. You know, 4G isn’t “ready for primetime” yet, or isn’t “widespread” enough yet, or the “battery life just isn’t there yet.”

Fine, you bearded bastard, if the battery life doesn’t stand up, give us a software switch so that we only use 4G when we want it.

Let’s face it, the whole “it’s not us, it’s the provider / market / technology” line is going to land with a thud. This toy company sucks at designing & developing anything that operates at radio frequencies.

This September may finally be the time when Wall St. punishes Apple.

4G really isn’t widespread enough though.

Idk man. I don’t really like apple either but they’re set to be the first trillion dollar company and they don’t seem to be slowing down.

As long as there are teenage girls (which let’s hope there always are *insert pedo bear*) there will be Apple.

They would be the first trillion dollar company the same way they were the first with 3G, touchscreens, and front facing cameras.

My 435 shares in the company is laughing at you. Thanks for your input, ill listen to some douche on here who knows nothing about business or a soon to be trillion dollar company. Run along now peasant…

they just won’t do it cause at&t and verizon are some data-greedy companies, and people who are on unlimited data grandfathered from them will surely take advantage of an iphone 4 :P

Y do u even call it 21mbs when u know dam right they don’t even even get close to that speed? In that case I have VZW 4G LTE 100 mbs!

I tested the G2x at a local tmobile store and it was getting 8-9 MB down. That’s not close to 21, but still, I was mighty impressed.

T-Mobile is not working on establishing 4G in major cities, evidently, only smaller markets, ceding the larger ones to Verizon and AT&T. In my state T-Mobile has great coverage in rural areas, only one major city with 3G coverage, and no 4G at all.

Why is it referred to as “21Mbps HSPA+” over and over in this article? Is it a guaranteed 21Mbps? Verizon’s LTE can do 21Mbps, but they’re not marketing a peak speed because they know it will go down when the network gets loaded. Is it the same type of thing here, only they’re marketing the peak speed?

Still on Edge in my area. How about expanding 3G?
