Sony releases teaser video for S1 and S2 tablets [video]

Tablets

Can’t get enough Sony tablet madness? The company has just posted a teaser video for their just announced S1 and S2 tablets set to debut later this fall. We’re talking about products that could change at any time (even the names aren’t final), but it’s still great to see a visual representation of what they’ll presumably offer, no?

Not sure about you guys, but I really dig this. I can imagine myself holding the S1 on my hand like a magazine or book while reading an eBook. The S2 looks cool too, because it seems like it would allow for a better user interface and I can control the “tablet” better. I’m surprised I’m one of the few who actually thinks this is very innovative and could catch up big time to the other tablets out there.

I think this could potentially shake things down in a big way, given enough marketing.
They have a lot of ground to cover here; one chance to get it right.
As an example: Motorola is failing.

I think both are quite impressive. both have great ORIGINAL designs that are shockingly different from eachother and others in the market. it’s awesome to see a company stepping out of the box design-wise and not just making a rectangular metal or plastic case with a 5-10″ screen. the android software should not come as a surprise to anyway given sony’s current trajectory. Sony’s done a great job to not just introduce another, “wish i was the ipad” tablet. nice job.
