This is getting old fast. I think businesses need to be held more accountable for these breaches. Every day I’m getting an email from some company I do business with, or have done business with informing me that their security sucks ballz and my information may have been stolen. Even my bank has sent me a new credit card because they “proactively” determined that my card was skimmed or my information compromised.

What incentive do businesses have to truly put some top notch security in place when they send you an email telling me “remain vigilant” and consumers are entitled to “one free credit report annually”. Thanks Sony! At least other companies offer you free credit monitoring for a year when they have a breach.

The big boys should stop treating these hackers like shyt and try hiring them. Give them something positive to do why not offer them a bounty for hacking/cracking so Sony can IMPROVE their security etc.

By the way, Geohot, Anonymous, whoever is bringing down the PSN network and stealing information, the only people you’re hurting is those of us who supported you and the idea of an open console. If you want to get at Sony, try exposing some accounting fraud or something. Stop fkng with my COD.

As long as human beings are involved in the security process, we will continue to see breaches like this. There is no such thing as a hundred percent secure network or system. The breach could have came from within. Any of us that work with the public or even work in tech services know that personal info is very easy to get. And clerk at any store with decent memory can get your credit card info and addy . Its done all the time. As long as info is stored somebody has access to it. I don’t see how any mega company can fix this without swearing employees to oaths like the cia or fbi. And you still gonna have breaches. Idk. Tough problem. But info gonna be much easier to get as technology improves. But sony must do better than that. Lol. Let us use paypal. Lol.

“We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding and goodwill..” I have none of these in regards to the situation! Finally something will make me switch to the 360..

Sony’s compensation is a joke….30 days free on playstation plus…!!!they got their heads together and thats the best they can come up with???
“i know, lets give everyone 30 days on the plus service (a new service lacking subscriptions) that nobody cares about and that way we can stimulate some sales !!!”Typical sony always thinking about ways they can benefit, and cream cash back from its customers even in a crisis! To be honest i dont want compensation, i just want a safe network up and running (the way it should have been in the first place).DONT INSULT YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH F***ING RUBBISH SONY!!
