HTC Mazaa spotted running Windows Phone, headed to Sprint

mobile

The gang over at XDA-Developers have been sent in an image of what they are calling the HTC Mazaa. The site reports that the device has a screen in the 3.7-inch range, GSM capabilities, and should be hitting Sprint shelves in the next several months — making this the first CDMA “world phone” based on the Windows Phone operating system. The source of the pictures also noted that the device could ship with DDR2 RAM inside, but was not certain. The device looks like it will be the full-touchscreen counterpart to the CDMA carrier’s HTC Arrive.

Can we get a kick ass WP on CDMA carriers please

Honestly, I like having a smaller screen. The EVO feels like a brick in the pocket, the Arrive fits a lot nicer, so an all-touch version would be great!

About time. Global roaming is an absolute requirement. I did not get the Arrive for that reason. This had better get here soon.

It looks like the Arrive without a keyboard…

First 4G Windows Phone 7 Series phone? Has a nice marketing ring to it

iPAPiNYC’s momma likes more than the 3.7 inch range. His sistah prefers 10.0 or more. iPAPiNYC himself will take whatever he can get.

  • Nope

Sprint? WP7? Small screen = No thanks.

I’ve been waiting for a decent WP7 phone on Sprint to replace my Epic 4g with. However, I prefer to have a larger screen than my Epic 4g, not smaller. :(

Disappointing, though I can’t necessarily say I blame them. I’d like to see Sprint get a 4″+ WP7 device come summer time, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.

I really would like to get a WP7 device. I don’t really want to replace my Evo, just have another one to play around with. I was really hoping that by the time my upgrade comes around in a couple months, we’d have a nice, big-screened WP7 device I could pick up. If not, then I guess it’s going to be largely up to my choice of keyboard or no keyboard.

  • Ewwsprint

Eww Sprint and why such a small screen. Add WP7 and this is a real flop.

Looks nothing more than a CDMA version of the HTC 7 Trophy
