BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900, Touch 9860 promos leak [video]

mobile

Research In Motion isn’t just a leaky faucet ahead of BlackBerry World this year, it’s a waterfall. We scooped RIM’s 2011 BlackBerry lineup back in January and more recently, we gave you a hands-on look at the BlackBerry Bold Touch, BlackBerry Touch and BlackBerry Torch 2 smartphones, but the leaks continue. In recent days we’ve seen full specs, brief hands-on videos and more, and for the two or three remaining naysayers who still don’t believe RIM is about to announce its next-generation smartphone lineup at BlackBerry World next month, RIM’s promo videos are now starting to leak out. Companies typically don’t put these promotional spots together unless the have some devices to, you know, promote — so BlackBerry fans should sit tight for another couple of weeks and we’re certain they’ll have some sleek new smartphones to swoon over. Hit the break for RIM’s official BlackBerry Bold 9900 and BlackBerry 9860 promo videos.

    hmmm weird promo videos

The first promo was decent but I have no idea what they were thinking with the second one

you guys got it first… damn, your connections inside RIM are very powerful!

Sarcasm? They’ve been on CrackBerry for quite a while…

Not to mention, BGR doesn’t credit N4BB with the find.

      • http://maxknux.wordpress.com/ Midnight

Um, I don’t think they explicitly credited them but I think its okay since the videos have N4BB watermark and below the last video is a link to the original source which is embedded in the text “Read.”

CrackBerry pulled the same source but your right they posted before BGR. It really does not matter since everyone pulled their content from N4BB.

Anyway, I looking so much forward to upgrading my Buggy Crappy Slow Pearl Flip 8220 vTMO. The Promo is nice but its not slick. Flying icons moving in the air, well not my cup of tea.

    That’s clearly a fan-made promo video.

I think both phones are great, but both of those promos are pretty lame.

‘Next-Generation’ RIM is an oxymoron. For BB Morons, no less. There is only 3 or 4 generations ago RIM phones.

i had been waited for 900 bold release for tmobile. they never did. TooBad!, I already left the Jurassic dinosaur BB for android phone..

  • Scott

Does anyone else think that metal band going around the phone looks familiar? Anyone?

    • Mechanical Love Affair

Actually it does look very familiar. Oh yea, from the bold 9000…..No they didn’t steal any design ques from Apple, that phone is identical to the first bold. Try again.

    • RealDeal

If you are suggesting BB is ripping off Apple, stop drinking the koolaid and educate yourself, the Bold 9000 had it years before the iPhone 4.

    • Scott

      @ those 2 BB lovers

Seriously, look at the bezel. You can’t honestly sit there and not think iPhone 4. It’s different from the 9000.

    • QNX Please

Blackberry has had silver bands around their phones for a long time now, they switch from plastic to metal and everyone suddenly starts crying they are copying Apple… get a life, one of the complaints from many people was that it was plastic in the first place.

    • Anonymous

The metal around the Bold isn’t going to affect a phone call though….

The Dakota looks so slim and sexy! Plus, they finally added the touch screen with there keyboard. Nice, very nice. If only they would add the qnx os and beefed up the specs they would kill!.

    this is a beautiful phone,

  • Drew

Looks nice RIM….. Uhh, unfortunately this is what you should’ve put out 2yrs ago instead of those “refreshes” and ridiculous flip phones that are probably free somewhere in Canada on contract. Having several of these RIM products before, I’m a proponent of RIM but the big picture and unfortunately the reality IS… these phones are just “fillers” for the meat and potatoes of your future existence which is the QNX based dual-core tegras.

    I already want it

I am SOOO frustrated with BB!!
I was a devout supporter since their days as a glorified pager.
They had the market in their hands and p!ssed it all away.
    No innovation
Crappy design (since the Bold came out)
Guess what – you may have expanded your market – but news – no one is interested anymore.
You dropped the ball. When your next round of contracts run their course. You’re gone.

    Unless…
Design. You hear me RIM – fire your design engineers IMMEDIATELY.
    Retool Remodel Relaunch. NOW.
The torch is a piece of crap.
your monaco (if real) looks like it was designed for Fred Flintstone.

You’ve lost touch. You can’t understand why you’re going down. But you are.
I can fix you in one week.
