White Apple iPhone 4 to launch in next few weeks

According to Bloomberg, Apple will launch the long awaited white version of its iPhone 4 sometime during the “next few weeks.” Apple has failed to produce a white version in the 10 months since it’s original announcement, although the new hue will be available on both Verizon Wireless and AT&T. This information appears to be in-line with earlier analyst predictions that Apple would release the device in April.

    Who cares what’s the big deal about a white iPhone 4 I have nothing against the phone itself but fail to see the big deal about a change of color. Most people are going to put a case on it anyway so you will not be able to tell what color it is black or white

I don’t know why I hate them so, probably cause my friends told me it was gay to like them, but the fact is I hate them. Google is MY LIFE! I use EVERYTHING Google, including my underwear.         You are paper thin in your transparent devotion for Apple. If you’d like to know why an actual Android supporter may hate Apple it’s because they have half the features of the Droids with twice as many arbitrary restrictions and lesser or equivalent hardware (To the Top of the Line Droids). All the “New” features added into the iPhone4 other than the retina display and the defective new antennae design were in droids from months to years. They claim to be innovators but have simply been following for the past 18 months or so. Luckily they have nice fanboys such as yourself to eagerly snatch up this years minimalistic upgraded model.

        Nope. Not at all. I also like quite a few things in WP7 and WebOS.
        Android battery life isn’t an issue with the newer devices. There are
        more malicious apps, websites, and exploits for iOS than Android right
        now.

        Apple sees fit to bring a new color to their most flawed hardware yet
        while others improve on functionality, performance, usability, and
        features.

        Keep buying that delicate glass phone with the antenna design flaws
        and camera issues.

        You are wrong. Newer devices like htc thunderbolt and inspire have terrible battery life.
        The market has decided by the sales numbers iPhone 4 is the best selling phone by the millions. Millions don’t have antennae issues. I have never had antennae issues. It is people like you that blow things out of proportion. If it was a real issue don’t you there would have been many returns?
        This is not for you and me to decide. The market, that is consumers vote with their dollars which product is best and apple has received the highest marks.

        Yet quite a few other devices like the Atrix have an excellent battery life.

        If the iPhone 4′s flaws are blown out of proportion, why did Apple
        hold a huge press conference over them? Why did a congressman write a
        formal letter to Apple over them?

        Most of the people walking around with iPhone 4s bought one even
        though it has bad technical flaws. They obviously don’t care too much
        about it as a phone. Many see the iPhone as just a modern status
        symbol and rarely use it for more than checking email or texting.

        The market has Android leading iOS by quite a bit. Android growth is
        outpacing iOS growth many times over. Other platforms will also gain
        market share as time goes on and possibly even eclipse both Android
        and Apple.

        Apple has not recieved the highest marks across the board. Macbooks
        overheat like crazy. Macbook Airs overheat even more so and have hinge
        problems. iPads have WiFi issues. iPad 2s are having MAJOR
        connectivity issues (Verizon), Wifi issues, backlight bleeding, yellow
        screen tint, Microphone issues, and various software glitches. iPhone
        4s have many well documented major design flaws that impede basic
        functionality.

        Before the iPhone, there was the Motorola Razr. Before the Razr, there
        were other fad phones like the Startac. It’s Apple’s moment in the
        spotlight. It will fade and it may do so quite soon.

        You talk like you have an iPad. I doubt it because your comments show how much you dislike apple.
        I have an iPad 2 with AT&T and don’t have any of those issues. There are some connectivity issues with some verizon iPads but it’s a software issue that is being resolved. Most people have AT&T iPads with no issues.
        You are wrong about iPhone use. Most buyers use it for everything. It’s like a pocket computer. I use it for Sirius satelite radio, hulu, netflix which android does not have, banking, Gaming, business productivity and others too numerous to name.
        What is your problem with Apple? Is it because they are successful?

        Apple didn’t offer free cases “For the few months they did offer them” for their health. There was clearly an issue with the antennae on the iPhone 4 model and I have personal experience dealing with people that have experienced the issue on both AT&T and Verizon Models. The reason it is not experienced by all users is because the loss in signal strength only seems to lead to dropped calls when you are in areas with poor voice coverage.

        You are so right. I went by a HUGE Apple Store in San Diego last week and people were not asking for ANY Apple products. They were asking for Android products. They wanted Android phones, Android tablets, Android cars, Android condoms, Android t-shirts, etc etc. The funny thing is that the “geniuses” at the Apple Store were selling these items to the customers out of the back of a truck! Weird!

        Haha I love you Apple fanboys who think your phones a BMW. What exactly makes it so much better than Android for instance. The components in the iPhone are proven to cost less than those in the top of the line Droid phones so obviously it’s not the hardware. The software lacks so much basic functionality at this point it’s pathetic. Is it the simplicity of not having an OS and instead just having an app launcher over a black background (Oh I forgot the iPhone 4 actually added the new feature of choosing your own background). Just because Apple charges top dollar for the iPhone doesn’t make it so. It’s the Delorian of the smartphone world. It looks shiny, but there ain’t much under the hood.

      The Iphone4 has been selling like crazy, even now, and so it’s believed Apple will Delay the Iphone 5 or 4G or whatever Apple ends up calling it until late this year.

    Who gives a frig about a white iPhone. I want an iPhone 5 darn it. If the September delay is due to this 10 month promise, I’ll be ticked. My 3 GS is gasping its final breath and a color change is very little comfort or incentive to make me cash in on a new 2 year contract.

      Then why don’t you jailbreak, unlock your 3GS, sell it and pay what, maybe $100-200 for an iPhone 4 from craigslist or ebay? No contract to worry about and when the iPhone 5 is out, you’ll get more for your iPhone 4.

      Haha, regardless of how “sad” you may think this to be, Apple will continue to cash in on the 4 (assuming rumors to be true and no significant hardware revisions are made in the near future to replace it beyond the simple aesthetic color change)

      Shocking as it may be, individuals like us who follow tech-news, look into viable alternatives (including waiting for the next iteration) and take a critical look at the tech-market do not represent the majority. Despite it being nearly a year, Apple’s “Shock and Awe” element, with the significant changes made to the 4th gen iphone, is still in play for most people: at this point the market has yet to be fully saturated and there is still money to be made.

      Besides, people’s expectations for the changes made in yearly iphone revisions has become severely skewed. The 4 took a significant leap from the 3gs on all counts, and as a result people believe that a year later Apple will take similar leaps with the next revision, as per the never-ending slew of rumors surrounding WWDC. It doesn’t make sense to completely eliminate the infrastructure established for the manufacture of the 4 a year later, or even in the next revision, by implementing significant hardware changes including NFC tech, larger screens, etc.

      If anything, in-line with Apple’s regular revision schedule, it is more likely that a “4s” will be released within the near future, touting the new A5 and the extended white color option. Little modification is needed in the assembly process as both the A4 and the A5 are of a similar form factor (the swapped CPUs representing the only hardware change) and software wise, IOS is already capable of utilizing Dual Core Processors: minimize the cost to produce a new product by making use of pre-established infrastructure while maintaining a yearly release schedule and standardizing the hardware across your products (the iPad 2 already has the A5 and, similar with the propagation of the A4, it will become the standard for IOS future devices).

        I’m thinking Apple will call the next Iphone, the Iphone 4G, because well it’ll have 4G!!! The same when Apple did with 3G for having 3G!!! The S on 3GS really was for Speed, since it was quite a bit faster then the 3G. So I’m going with 4G and not 5 for now.

    Does any body really care? I really want to know. Nothing on the writer, but this who iPhone bit (especially the white one) is tired. I don’t know what the big deal is with bring out a white version of an outdated phone is. It should have been available from the start – oh that’s right, Jobs tells you what color you want too if you’re an iFail lemming.
