Verizon Wireless DROID Incredible 2 shots leak

mobile

We had little doubt that Verizon Wireless had plans to launch the Incredible S — announced in February during MWC — as the DROID Incredible 2, but here’s further proof. Leaked shots of DROID Incredible 2 have been published by Pocketnow.com, and they show the device with Verizon Wireless branding. Big Red hasn’t officially announced the phone yet, but it will likely offer the same hardware as the Incredible S, including a 1GHz processor, an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording 720p video, and a 4-inch 800 x 480-pixel resolution touchscreen. We called the DROID Incredible “our favorite Android device to date” when we reviewed it last April, so this puppy has some pretty big shoes to fill.

I’m liking the first one better. The way they have the flash lined up next to the camera is weird, and the back of the phone looks like a gizmo from Fisher Price.

Nice looking phone. Id still get the thunderbolt though

While they are both quality DROIDS I think the thunderbolt comes out on top due to the wonderful size.

Do you understand that not everyone thinks 4.3″ is wonderful size? I suppose you think a 17″ laptop is a wonderful size as well?

Your mom likes the bigger one

Might as well just sell the thunderbolt….. no need for this phone really, they will see as they won’t be selling many.

Incredible when it launch it was the EVO 4g without 4g and the 4.3 screen what happened now the EVO 3D it will you have no competition in the us

Googled this phone which has already been released in Europe (Incredible S) for awhile. Many, many reports of muffled sound quality and weak audio problems. Reminiscent of same problems with the original Incredible a year ago. Not knocking the phone, just observations, but really don’t believe it will sell well in U.S.

Actually this is a really good phone. Got mines about 2 weeks ago and havent had any problems with it so far. I really think this will sell very good in the U.S.

eh.. ya know I’d really like to consider an HTC device, but they are always ugly. Why do they always have to be bumpy and not sleek. If the back was all flat, I’d consider it as my next phone.

The incredible is really the only “bumpy” phone they have.

And the official hard case on the original Incredible makes the back flat… I’m sure it’ll be similar for this one.

  • yumyums

they will sell plenty now that moms and dads are in to smart phones and dont know crap about them.

  • xxdesmus

I want to love this device, but no dual core proc = no thanks

  • http://profiles.google.com/waldo22 Nicholas Meyers

Same specs as the original… what’s the point? I love my Incredible… but I also understand I bought it a year and a half ago. Without LTE and a dual-core processor, I’m not buying this. I’m interested in seeing my options by the time I’m ready to upgrade in December.

    • Rpfarrah

Agreed. The only upside is the 4″screen.

    • Anonymous

Same specs as the original? Are you illiterate?

  • Cer

Bet it doesn’t come out until the 17th.

  • Cer

What’s the deal with charging ports on the side? Does anyone really prefer them over charging ports on bottom?

If it’s not 4G, is it relevant? I don’t think so. Yet another escapee from the Android puppy mill.

Looks like the cheaper and inferior version of thunderbolt.

    • Anonymous

Yeah, because LTE covers 100% of Verizon markets right now.

  • sash

can you say plastic?Thunderbolt all the way, but id rather pick my i phone ;) lol yes i know i know

  • drew dogg

I would seriously trade-in my tbolt for this bad boy.

  • Nospam

With the crappy battery life you’d be crazy to get this phone.

  • Anonymous

I hope the name is aimed at the performance and not the design. Woof

  • Anonymous

I think I’ll go ahead and stick with my T-bolt.

  • Tax224

Sorry…but there is NO justification for the $249 price on the Thuderbolt….NONE!!

Just my opinion but I am so glad I got the Thunderbolt. This is SUPER ugly!
