NoDo Windows Phone 7 update rolling out to Dell Venue Pro today

mobile

Lionel Menchaca, a writer on Dell’s Direct2Dell blog, confirmed via his Twitter account that Dell will begin rolling out the “NoDo” Windows Phone update to Venue Pro owners today. NoDo will add copy/paste functionality to the Venue Pro, and user should also see speed improvements within applications — thanks to some smaller performance tweaks. Menchaca said that Dell will update its Direct2Dell blog later today with a post about the NoDo rollout. Venue Pro owners, let us know if you see the update.

I wonder if your internal thought process is reflected in your sentence structure? Nonsensical and sloppy to the point of lacking comprehension by anyone else?

I wonder what’s taking the Samsung Focus so long to get it.

I figured. As long as it works as expected, then I’ll be a patient camper.

Updated my Venue Pro, took about 5 minutes with 2 reboots. The update states 9 steps, everything went smoothly. Now, I’m really excited about the “multitasking” update, I think called “Mango”, hopefully this next update brings WinPho 7 on a level platform as iOS.

Did you have to wait for a notification or just plugged into your computer and fired up zune?

While I got the 7008 I’m still waiting for NoDo. Checked my phone – nothing (when I got pre-NoDo I had a notification), I closed and fired up Zune, pulled the DVP battery and still nothing.

I really hope I get it today as copy and paste is the one thing – second to multitasking and third to HTML5 support – that made me quickly realize that I missed some features from my Blackberry 9700 w/OS6. While I do still have the Blackberry, I have chosen to only use the DVP because I just love the device and form factor – especially the screen real estate.

Here’s hoping that we do get the Mango update in 2011, as numerous sites report it may be delayed until 2012. Yikes.

I got mine late last night. You get a notification on the phone saying there is an update available and to plug it into the computer to apply the update. :-) Finally!
