Nokia revamps brand image with new ‘Nokia Pure’ font

mobile

Nokia has replaced its famous Nokia Sans font with a new “Nokia Pure” typeface as part of its effort to re-brand itself.  Nokia said on its blog that the “the letters [of the new font] flow into each other somewhat, creating the impression of forward movement.” The new typeface will be used throughout the user interface — in areas such as the user menu and dial pad — on future Nokia phones, although Nokia hasn’t provided official shots of it in use, just renders. It’s also unclear if Nokia will carry the new font over to its Windows Phone 7 devices, although we assume that it will. Nokia says to keep an eye out for the new typeface in its branding campaigns on billboards and on new devices in 2011.

Another copy and paste job off Engadget…. Do you guys even do your own research anymore outside of Apple news? Or do you wait for Engadget and Gizmodo to post something, then paste it 2 days later and call it news hoping none of your readers caught the Engadget post.

Either way, this is a waste of money for Nokia, changing their font wont make them relevant in North America again.

“Or do you wait for Engadget and Gizmodo to post something, then paste it 2 days later and call it news hoping none of your readers caught the Engadget post.”

Yes, that’s exactly what they do. You caught them. They shouldn’t have tried to fool you.

By the way, is the sentence I quoted a question? You didn’t add a question mark like you did for the first sentence, so I can’t be sure if your inconsistent or careless.

@Perspectively. “….I can’t be sure if your inconsistent or careless.” What were you? Inconsistent, or careless when you wrote “your” instead of “you’re”?

That’s a good pick up. Unfortunately, you lack the ability to phrase your comment clearly; you offer an ambiguous, open ended question (“What were you?”) followed by an absolute mess of a sentence attached to some random text. So, I took the liberty of revising your hideous writing as follows:

        1) “When you wrote “your” instead of “you’re,” were you inconsistent or careless?”

        2) “Were you inconsistent or careless when you wrote “your” instead of “you’re”?

Please do yourself a favor and revise your comment accordingly. . . anyone that reads that mess you offered above is going to think you’re a tool, as I already do. Thanks for playing, “SnowFort.”

@Perspectively. Yes you’re right, it was a bit of a mess wasn’t it. That’s what a 14hr flight, minus a good night’s sleep will do. :) Therefore, I have selected the following revised query.

Were you inconsistent or careless when you wrote “your” instead of “you’re”?
