Second hands on with Sprint’s HTC EVO View 4G tablet [video]

CTIA

We already brought you a photo-centric hands-on of Sprint’s brand-spankin-new HTC EVO View 4G tablet, but we thought we would get a little closer to the sexy slab with a hands-on video. The 7-inch tablet reminds us a bit of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, however the View 4G does run Google’s Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) mobile operating system. HTC also added its solid Sense user interface to the View that makes the whole experience a bit more enjoyable — the 1.5GHz processor purring under the hood helps too. Throw in an innovative stylus, the HTC Scribe, and you have a pretty compelling package. Hit the jump for a video walk-through of the hardware and UI.

Thats one big Evo..but behind the times….ah the irony of the android world…where new tablets, phones are behind the OS curve, thanks to manufacturers and carriers.

And people thought the iPad was a giant iPod touch / iPhone.

Wow!..NO flash/3d back camera..have fun NOT taking pics in low light settings!!

Ya because everyone uses tablet computers to do all there photography. …sigh…

See people where calling the iPad a bigger iPod touch. How do you call this? It’s got the same OS of a phone on a bigger screen. I can’t believe they didn’t even bother to add Honeycomb. I guess it’s doomed to have the same destiny of the original Galaxy Tab.

    • Clamknuckle

They have already said it will get Honeycomb at some point. And yeah it IS just a giant EVO. You act like the iPad being a giant iPod touch is a bad thing. The iPod touch is a kick ass little piece of hardware. So is the iPad, and so is this little tablet.

      • Mr. Leo

I am an iPad owner and I love the tablet. I understand they’ll bring
Honeycomb to this tablet its just ridiculous, in my opinion, the it
will ship with the same os as a phone. I think it’s like shooting
yourself in the head. It’s all about the user experience not specs.
        These are post pc products.

The UI looks so cheesy. When will Android devices finally get a decent looking UI? It makes the devices look cheap.

WebOS, WP7 iOS and even the BB Playbook all look great. But Android device UI’s look like cheesy afterthoughts.
