Second hands on with AT&T’s HTC HD7S [video]

CTIA

After our initial caffeine-fueled lap around the Orange County Connection Center, we made the rounds one more time to collect some videos for your scrutiny. One device on our hit-list was the HTC HD7S, AT&T’s third Windows Phone 7 smartphone. If you’re a Windows Phone fan, this one is sure to be up your alley. Its 4.3-inch screen was bright and its build was solid thanks to thick plastic and metal accents. We do feel the design is getting a bit stale, though, given that it has a body that’s very similar to the HD7 on T-Mobile and the EVO 4G on Sprint. It even features the same kickstand, which is good if you want to watch movies and set the device in landscape mode on your desk, but it also adds some bulk. The HD7S would be our top choice of Windows Phone 7 devices on AT&T too, because it has the latest NoDo update that includes copy/paste functionality. Hit the jump to see what the HD7S is all about, and check out our photo gallery as well.

This OS is really something. As an Android guy you have to admire the fluidity and speed of everything

Around 1:00 on the video, zordon was calling his rangers!!! hahahaha!

Was a long time user of the HTC (att) 8525 and i just loved the heck out of windows at that point. Then apple came along, and now android (current Tbolt owner). And im glad to see windows spreading out again. Only thing now is wait for a verizon version.

Never played with any of the current windows phone, but it looks pretty cool and way better than 6.0/6.5

    “Orange County CONNECTION Center” ???

Ok, either they altered the name in a Pun-ny way for this week’s events, or you guys really, really need new glasses… or give you the benefit of the doubt and you misspelled ‘convention’ and it auto-corrected to ‘connection’.

Wait.. .what? “Outlook”? What? Does that phone have an Outlook app? Um… why doesn’t mine????

Oh wait, is that the generic title for the Inbox if one is not using Live, Gmail or Yahoo? I’m very confused here.

Too bad the SMS gui is a clusterf*ck, no Swype and no Pandora. I had this for T-Mo and returned it after 4 days. DOA.

    didn’t like the Tmobile version
the camera is aweful compared to the Vibrant – the photos in full screen look like they were painted. The hardware should’ve been an improvement to the HD2

Loved the Windows Phone 7 OS though, went trough a month’s withdrawal and can’t wait for an awesome piece of hardware so I can switch
