Apple iOS 4.3.1 hands-on!

One of our Apple connects just installed the unreleased and unseen iOS 4.3.1 build on one of our iPhones, and we’ve been playing around with it for a couple days. We reported the changes from iOS 4.3 a few days back, and it really does look as if iOS 4.3.1 will simply fix bugs, hence the version numbering. Battery life seems a tad bit better, though that’s not scientific at all. Our source says we should continue to expect iOS 4.3.1 in the next 1-2 weeks, just as we previously reported.

    thank god there is going to be a x.x.1 update, ever since I upgraded to 4.3 my battery life has gone to crap, i used to be able to get two full days on one charge with a good amount of usage on my iPhone 4 and now im only getting a day if i’m lucky under the same usage.

    Sheesh, and what does that screenshot prove? You can do that on a jailbroken iPhone and edit the plist to say 4.3.1. Woohoo.

    4.3.1 is already out. It didn’t take 1 to 2 weeks. Only 2 days, I guess you’re source was wrong.

    Has anyone else noticed that the notification system for certain apps is off? For instance, if I log onto facebook and I don’t have a comment or anything and then I close the app, there will be a notification. Then, when I open the app again to check and see, there is nothing. The same holds true with words with friends.

    4.3.1 did fix web browsing inconsistencies and fixed battery life bug of the 4.3 update. Love it,
