HTC EVO 3D and EVO View 4G tablet appear on Sprint website

CTIA

At this point there’s little doubt Sprint will be announcing these two exciting devices later today at its media event — which we’ll be covering live beginning at 1:00 p.m. Eastern — but seeing the devices pop up on the Sprint website is always comforting. We scooped both the HTC EVO 3D and the HTC EVO View 4G tablet last week and details were reaffirmed on Monday ahead of this year’s CTIA Wireless show. The EVO 3D is said to feature a 4.3-inch qHD 960 x 450-pixel Autostereoscopic 3D display, 4GB of RAM, 1GB ROM, a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, dual rear 5-megapixel camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and a hefty 1730mAh battery. The EVO View 4G tablet is rumored to sport a 7-inch device with a 1024 x 600-pixel touchscreen, an aluminium unibody design, HTC Scribe with optional pen support, the latest HTC Sense UI optimized for tablet devices, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, the Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 4000mAh battery, DLNA and HDMI-out support. Launch details and pricing information are not yet available.

Seriously, 4GB of RAM?? Is that a reprint from yesterday or has it been confirmed to have 4GB of RAM and not ROM?? Because if it has 4 GB of RAM that would be siiiiiiickkkk!!!!!

Seems like BGR is sticking to their 4GB Ram and 1GB ROM when every other tech blog is giving opposite specs regarding these 2…

But technically BGR did break the story… we’ll see who’s right later on today.

Honestly, I hope it’s BGR that’s correct. 4GB of RAM on a phone would be INSANE!!

I honestly don’t think it would matter unless the phone is doing something along the lines of what Motorola is doing with the Atrix… I rather have 4GB internal storage.

True, I’d rather it be internal storage as well, but 4GB of RAM might actually make the other parts of the phone not suck with HTC Sense. Why is it that HTC will stuff 8GB in an Incredible but 300 MB in an Evo (or whatever tiny ass amount it is)? Can’t they throw a minimum 1 GB internal storage for crying out loud?

I honestly feel like the carriers make the final decision on that. VZW probably wanted to foot the bill for the extra storage.

Don’t you mean 1GB of RAM?? Proofread before posting.

I am a little concerned about the EVO 3D. I understand the current EVO offerings are 4G but no article on any page mentions the EVO3D being 4G

Dude seriously? The next version of the EVO won’t be 4G? . . . You must be new to the tech scene

Lol so you think the upgraded evo will downgrade the radio…..interesting…

There is absolutely zero chance that is correct. It is 1 gb of RAM and 4 gb of ROM.

Sorry, the HTC scribe just looks way too small to be a tablet. I mean, it looks like the EVO is as big as the scribe. The Scribe just looks very cramped.

    • Monique

      oops, meant the HTC View…

So sick of Sprint using “EVO” on every freakin HTC devise coming out. Ok so the orignal EVO was cool but come on!

you gotta go with what works. Verizon throws Droid in front of all of their products. And that’s across htc and motorola.

      • Anonymous

and now Samsung with the “Droid” Charge.

They sure got some mileage out of the original Evo. All in all, this was a sensible refresh cycle.

C’mon, I realize BGR keeps using the 4GB ram/ 1GB rom because they explained in a previous article that they recieved those specs and while THEY themselves don’t believe it to be true, they were going to keep using those specs as that was what was given to them. But they said it was most likely reversed. How can phones just jump from 512MB ram to 4GB?
