Image of Sprint-branded Motorola XOOM surfaces online

Tablets

Sprint Users forum member r0fl is at it again. This time, the sleuthy Sprint user has posted an image of what appears to be a Sprint-branded Motorola XOOM tablet. The device, which is currently offered with cellular connectivity exclusively by CDMA carrier Verizon Wireless, should carry the same set of specifications as the model currently being sold. What is not clear, however, is if the device will ship WiMAX-enabled or WiMAX upgradeable. R0fl has a proven track record when it comes to unreleased Sprint hardware — back in December he leaked images of Sprint’s MiFi 4082 and HTC’s EVO Shift 4G prior to their release.

Looks like Sprint is starting to step up and offering some serious hardware to go with their good service and great prices. I’m hoping that they continue this trend with a version of the iPhone this summer.

I will never buy a device which I can use without having to ship to the manufacturer with all my personal details. I love it when their engineers go through all my personal info. Xoom is made for people like me.

You know, you can wipe before you send it and then restore all your data from the cloud? Nothing really will be lost or stolen.

I’d assume this will come with Wimax out of the box

Makes sence, Sprint and Verizon are both CDMA

Just imagine using the super powered Xoom on Sprint’s network, EWWW!! #fail

what are talking about, Sprint’s 3G speeds are much faster than Verizon 3G Speeds. Also this will probably come 3G/4G out the box cause wimax is readily available, now don’t forget wimax does not use sim cards just needs a sequans chip built into the chip for 3g or be separate .

I have an EVO on Sprint’s network & 3g/4g speeds are terrible!! I just tried Verizon’s network for the 1st time with the Xoom & 3g speeds are as fast as my 4g speeds on Sprint with the EVO. #suckassSprint

Why did BG remove the negative button? It was meant for retards like the guy above.

If the plans and pricing are the same I’d take LTE’s speed over Wimax.

SMH…ppl act as if verzions’ lte is sooo much faster than sprint. At the end of the day they are basically the same download speed wise.

As long as Sprint Stays away from an IPhone…I’m Good.

Why? I hope they get it Sprint cold use the extra money.. I wouldnt touch it with a stick but MANY customers would be happy and Apple would handle all of the tech issues so Sprint could focus more on Android

Apple handle tech issues? Since when? They usually try to find ways to get out of doing anything unless you pay for it.

Sprint is suppose to be announcing a lot more devices at CTIA so let’s hope a gingerbread tablet, maybe even this one, is announced.
