Images, specs of HTC’s Pyramid Android handset surface

mobile

The leaks are flying out of xda.cn at a fast and furious pace today. The site has posted renderings of another leaked, HTC handset, the Android-based Pyramid. The site reports that the device will sport a 1.2GHz processor, 4.3-inch Super LCD, qHD display with 540 x 960 resolution; 768MB of RAM; front and rear facing cameras; along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios. The site also lists Honeycomb (Android 3.0) as the operating system the device will run — which sort of calls the rest of the specs into question. Again, xda.cn has a mixed track record when it comes to leaked devices, and while the images look to be authentic, the specifications could simply be overzealous predictions made by the site.

Ehhh, it’ll ship with a 1200mAh battery! Good for 2 hours of use! Way to go HTC…

Yea. Battery capacity is one thing HTC really needs to work on. With Motorola’s 1930mAh stock battery and Samsung’s 1600+mAh stock, 1200mAh – 1400mAh just won’t cut it.

It’s running DROID OS so it will be just fine. I wouldn’t worry too much. The open and freeness of the OS makes up for everything.
