Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab to retail for $399 on April 4th, report suggests

Tablets

Information acquired by blog Droid-Life suggests that Samsung’s 7-inch, Wi-Fi only, Galaxy Tab may retail for $399 and become available on April 4th. The svelte price point, and imminent release date, come courtesy of a flier that was purportedly being handed out by a Samsung representative at a recent technology trade show. The 7-inch Galaxy Tab is getting a little long in the tooth, but the $399 price tag is quite attractive. Samsung is expected to debut an 8.9-inch, Galaxy-branded tablet later this month at CTIA in Orlando, and we presume concrete information about the Wi-Fi only device will be provided then.

Though it’s a DROID Im not interested as it does not have DROID 3.0 honeycomb and is already far behind.

        A) Its not a DROID anything

        B) Android 3.0 is called honeycomb not DROID 3.0

Glad I am not the only person irritated when someone refers to everything android as DROID…

You should be banned just for not knowing the difference between Droid and Android.

no, Verizon did such a wonderful job marketing DROID that it is the only thing myself and everyone else that sees sunlight calls any thing with android, DROID. So fuck off.

Droid I thought was the name of a phone. Nothing like someone that praises a os and don’t know the name of it. Then again you that Apple make a itouch so no surprise here.

With Android 2.2? No thank you…

      • Stormin

Have you used one? At $299 it MIGHT be a deal.

  • DuhWinning

I feel like $299 is what this tiny thing should be priced.

400$ for a device that won’t get any software update ill pass

  • keymaker

Even if it was priced at $150 it will still be dead and here is why. iPads fly of store shelves cause there’s a ton of People that don’t know how to use a PC but find the iPad crazy easy to use. Android tablets even though they’re nice, they’re not for everyone and People who really know how to use them prefer a fully functional PC over it. Honestly i don’t think there’s a market for Android Tablet. I’ll take a Xoom over a iPad any day but I’m not interested in tablets, I prefer my smartphone and my Laptop.

So impressive, I’m waiting for this device …

  • zps

let me ask…is it going to work? the t-mobile version i had literally did not work and was riddled with bugs.

    • Anonymous

Them bugs you speak of is android os not tmobile.

      • zps

the galaxy s i had was not from t-mobile. the common theme is samsung product running android. trust me, it’s a disaster. will have to test their new tabs to see if they have gotten it together.
