Verizon takes 30% off all devices (except DROIDs, iPhone and tablets) for one day only

mobile

Verizon Wireless is in the midst of a one-day sale that offers great value to prospective subscribers and current customers looking to upgrade. Dubbed “Social Friday,” the nation’s top carrier has knocked 30% off all devices purchased online between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 11th. Of course Verizon uses the term “all devices” loosely, and the most popular high-end devices in the carrier’s portfolio — DROID-branded phones, the iPhone and all tablets such as the iPad 2 — are excluded from the sale. There are plenty of other great devices in the carrier’s lineup, however, and they’re all on sale for almost one-third off until the end of the day.

Not everyone is wanting nor needing a device such as those used by tech blog readers. Device doesn’t have bells or whistles, doesn’t make it a crap device. My mom has a LG 8300 and to her it’s the best phone in existence, sure doesn’t have the web or applications but still a great reception and battery and basic 1.3MP camera.

Following your logic, then, this article is irrelevant to this blog’s readers, kind of defeating the purpose of even publishing it..
