Apple’s iPad 2 now available online

It’s March 11th at 4:00 a.m. EST, which means Apple’s iPad 2 is officially on sale. The device announced last week will go on sale at Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, Target, Verizon Wireless, and Walmart retail locations later today — 5:00 p.m. EST — but if you want to order yourself the next-generation iPad and skip the brick-and-mortar madness, the time hath cometh. Grab yourself a cup or coffee — or an Ambien if you’re on the West Coast — and head on over to Apple’s online store. The goods are waiting for you.

    I guess it’s sold out now. I placed an order 30 mins ago on Apple Store. Just went back to the website, the status is back to “coming soon” now.

    Seems that Apple want to Capitalize iPad 2 market by storm.. The Positive buzz of iPad 2 could be major advantage for second generation of iPad and become a big factor to boost its sales..

    Ordered mine at about 3:40 EST, wanted to buy white one, but I made that mistake with the 3GS (collects dirt, smudges look 8 times worse and dust collects in all grooves (switches, ports, and buttons) makind the white difficult to keep up. Can’t wait until it get heres!!!!!!! Oh, and if they come out with an iPad 3 next Tuesday, I will stay up again to ensure that I get my order in!

        Doubtful. The Galaxy is also out, and sales have been abysmal in comparison. Meanwhile the projections for the iPad 2 are targeted at over 600,000 in just 3 days…You can take all the Android Tablet sales, from all manufacturers, and they’ll barely tip 100,000 over the course of 12 months…LOL…

        Nope..sorry…face it, Android may be ok on a phone, but they’ve failed at the tablets…

        Numetheus, it is one brand. And we are sure google, gracious google, will subsidize the losses by manufacturers of android that don’t or can’t make money because thousands of phone and tablet models. But that’s the power of openness and freedom. You’ll never have that with apple.

        What you are forgetting is that there will be approximately 10,000 different Android Tablet Models to choose from (ahhh, the power of openness and competition) and thus if, as expected, each sells 100 tablets, well there’s your business right there. Add to that, of the 10,000, about 5,000 or so will have carrier offers of BOGO or 1 cent, and there are another few thousand sold.

        Android is beautiful! Google is GOD!

        Genius, I live on the west coast, and I’m from the east coast. I know the time difference all too well. But that doesn’t change the fact that taking an Ambien even as late as 12:30 will have you knocked out by the time you want to buy online.

        Ambien does NOT equal coffee.

      Its actually opposite. Since Face time is running, the black guy has the white one, while the white girl has the black one, as evident by the tiny image running on the screen.
