White iPad 2 could be in the works

The white iPhone 4 has yet to come to fruition, but it looks like that hasn’t deterred Apple from experimenting with future, pale products. According to 9 to 5 Mac, Apple is working on a white iteration of its yet-to-be-announced iPad 2. The information comes courtesy of the above image, which is purportedly a white bezel (also known as the digitizer) from the next generation iPad. The above bezel looks extremely similar to leaked images of the black digitizer that have been circulating the Web. It also appears to match the design of potential iPad 2 screen protectors revealed earlier this month. Hit the jump for a second image showing the rear side of the panel, and sit tight until March 2nd when all this should be hashed out.

    I honestly don’t care if there is a white iphone or white ipad. The black phone was always the best looking.

    As the remainder of the case is likely to be the same metallic look and feel I don;t think the color of the bezel will make much difference.

    Now if the case was a sexy black carbon fiber look that would be a different matter altogether.

    The apple haters here are getting quite old. WE GET IT, the xoom has better specs. The iPad has limitations, who cares?

      Well, if I am spending $800 out-of-pocket, I care. I was thinking of getting an iPad but, it’s just one big Max’iPad compared to the XOOM; ‘limiting’ at best is a huge understatement; you really can not do anything differently on a Max’iPad than you can do on any iPhone, iTouch, or any other iDoodle; the graphics are horrible compared to the XOOM; the specs’ and hardware on the XOOM are far superior. I must say, Motorola has really outdone themselves and this is coming from someone who hates their products;
      I can’t stand this CRAPPPYYY DROID X and hated the original Motorola DROID. But, the XOOM is just entirely in its’ own exosphere!!!

      Why would I pay roughly $800 for a Pad or Tablet that does the ‘same ol’ thing in exactly the ‘same ol’ way as one of my 3G iPhones?

        this post is idiotic. the reason one purchases a LARGER device that does the SAME OL CRAP is because its a better experience on the larger unit. easier to read and interact with. how is that a difficult concept to grasp? “android” doesn’t put out anything. android developers do. it’s not a frickin 3rd world country, bud. the ipad is good like the ipod is good. people buy it because they like the feel & get useful features that aren’t matched on other different size/form portables. same is true of xoom but i see that as luring more of the tinkerer, easily, which apple doesn’t tend to lure.

        Dude think about the motorola handsets selection on t mobile and that should make you have a better appreciation for the motorola droid line-up.

        I actually wish the Atrix weren’t on CinguCrap, what a waste of a phone on a 2G network; that laptop dock is SWEEEET!

        This DROID X is CRAPPPYYYYY, though, really. Sad, but true.

        What you’re forgetting is that the Xoom is completely useless without applications; tablet applications that are absent from honeycomb. I bought the Xoom, there are 16 tablet applications:8 games, 2 web applications, 6 junk applications. Specs mean absolutely nothing WHEN THERE IS NOTHING TO PROVE THE SPECS. Hell, it doesn’t even have flash yet. At least the iPad has iWork and access to about 80,000 more tablet specific applications.

        The only ok thing about the Xoom is the video editing app, and that’s nit even worth paying for, which is why it’s good they through it in there for free.

        Also, by calling the iPad a Max’iPad, you’re really only proving that you just want to bash the iPad. You clearly have no knowledge over the tablet you support; the Xoom fucking sucks right now.

      Wait, there are rumors that Apple will have one more color than just the black option and your equivalent situation is for the company to choose a favorite hand?

      Here’s a newsflash for you, rumors aren’t news. THEY’RE RUMORS, and it’s BGR’s job to report the rumors, that’s what these sites do; that’s what sets them apart from news websites, stupid.

    Doubt it. I have a supplier who gets me the white parts for the iPhone…same can be applied to the iPad.
