Is this Apple’s next iPad? [updated]

We have been sent an image that looks very convincing. A tipster has shot us over what could be — and appears to be — an image of the back of Apple’s next generation iPad. The rear-facing camera, redesigned speaker, and flat back with tapered edges are all visible. We’ll know either way pretty soon — Apple’s iPad event is quickly approaching.

UPDATE: Though it is highly likely that the image above will end up being a good representation of the iPad 2, it’s looking like this image was created by an Apple fan and is not an official render.

    Been wanting better built in speaker for a while now, but why on earth are they putting the speaker on the back. Muffled unintelligible sound. Would it be that difficult to put them on the FRONT of the device!

    Android app store has 12 apps for Xoom. Enough said. 800 dollars for a tablet with only 12 apps? GTFO.
