Orbita Bergamo 40 is a watch lovers’ secret hideaway

Lifestyle

If you’re a serious watch lover and collector, there’s a good chance you’ll want to keep your timepieces fully wound, especially if you own complicated movements, and the Orbita Bergamo looks to be a high-end built-to-order piece of furniture to show off and hide your watches. It’s capable of holding and winding 40 watches (each watch winder is able to be programmed independently), and the rear part of the cabinet that holds your timepieces can automatically lower into the cabinet to conceal your collection. Hand-made in Italy, the Orbita Bergamo 40 starts at $60,000.

Damnnn….60k? You could get a nice car for that, or even a servant to wind your watches for the next 20 years….

…but then again if you’re getting a servant just to wind your watches, 60 grand is probably just pocket change for you – you wipe your butt with $100 dollar bills and heat your home with 20s.

In other related news, pigs can fly!!!!

The expression “pigs can fly” is used when something is unreal or unlikely to ever happen (ex. pigs flying). Since the Orbita Bergamo is real, the expression does not make sense in this context.

A story about pigs flying would be as relevant to tech news world as this watch holder story is.

Use your brain kid, I understand the saying.

That’s got to be the ugliest thing I have ever seen. I am pretty sure it is available at Big Lots or the Dollar Store.

40 watches seems a little excessive; but so does 10. Guess it depends on what you want and how much you have to waste.
