Happy Motorola ATRIX 4G Day!

Those of you clinging on to AT&T, waiting for a serious Android handset, rejoice. Today, February 22nd, is the day that you can officially purchase yourself a dual-core, laptop-docking, 1GB of RAM having, Motorola ATRIX 4G from your local wireless retailer. AT&T will be selling the set for $199.99, RadioShack will be pricing the unit at $149.99, and we’ve heard select Walmart stores will be offering the ATRIX for a very reasonable $129.99.     I gotta say I’m loving mine. This thing just flies through everything I’ve thrown at it with crazy speed. Speaker is fantastic with loud and full sound. I don’t get where people think it feels cheap. Build quality seems super solid, and if I drop it I don’t have tons of extra glass to shatter. Screen looks great and touch sensitivity is really strong. Voice quality is among the best I’ve heard as well, not that anybody talks on these things anymore.

    You need to call At&t and have them change your data plan to the new 4G data plan. the 4G speeds are not disabled. As soon as the new feature code is added to your account you will get the faster speeds. Simple

      “4g” speeds will completely depend on where you live. In phoenix, there are only a couple of hspa+ towers in operation and no at&t rep (ive been to 3 stores today) will divulge where they are because “people will all go there to test it and will overload the tower” the towers will be up here in june, although the rep did tell me that they have seen speeds of 40mb down? that sounds a little ridiculous…also told me that att lte will be 50% faster than hspa+

    I just picked it up today. Great feel, great phone. Of course Blur ain’t great, but that processor turns everything into butter. Just butter.

    Who honestly needs an open boot loader? Do you all run your own Kernels? You can still root it and flash custom ROMs on it anyway. (I’m getting the Droid Bionic)

    I just got mine today and this thing it’s wicked fast!!! My Sammy Captivate with cognition is going for sale but mainly cause this should have better battery life.

    Screen is nice and sharp but you can tell that it’s plastic I’ll be missing the gorilla glass. Speaker is nice and loud, over all it’s a really nice phone it feels plasticky tho :( almost like Sammy vibraint. Love the finger unlock.

    Yes I agree with “Xallif” ‘s comment I am coming out of iphone and it does feel cheap overall. Other than that it is a great phone. I got all apple apps. back here. I like it a lot!!! and not returning mine!!!

    Im curious here with all the complaints about the “plastic” feel. The iphones prior to the iPhone 4 were plastic backed. Where were all your complaints about plastic then? Just cuz it was shiny plastic didn’t make it “quality” plastic. I swear, the things people say…. on both sides…. are just ridiculous sometimes….. Startec Forever!!

    Tango video calling crashes along with Slingplay apps. Phone is quick, but FCC speed test on my iPhone 4 are showing about 30% to 40% quicker. Don’t like the feel but it isn’t that bad, my Nexus 1 has a better feel.

    I was going to get my iPhone 3g upgraded. I planned on getting the iPhone 4 but I started playing with the Atrix and loved it. I’m still getting the hang of it and the speed yeah it just as fast if not faster than the iPhone. I just need to learn to use this phone.

    My Atrix has a problem that can’t be fixed. The phone randomly dings me that the sd card is being removed and then is being installed.
