Wonder how many fools will buy these. How many tech bloggers will drool over them. Never again Samsuck.

Be afraid. Other than Froyo it looks like two year old tech dusted off and presented as new. An 800Mhz processor? Really?

I won’t buy Samsung again and likely not android until they can curb the fragmentation.

      Spoken like a true iFan.

      • Anonymous

iFan or not, it is true. Just ask any big developer who develops for both platforms.

Your opinion is just that yours and opinion. Facts are facts and can only be facts…….. that is why they are called facts.

Android is the fastest selling mobile OS. Read: Most end users couldnt care less about fragmentation.

        Fact.

I know a developer that works for a company here in Cincinnati that develops for Android and iOS. To him there is no difference. There is no fragmentation that amounts to anything… I know another guy that codes for major software firms, who will not touch an apple product due to their coding structure.. .

Big whoop. The mass media will scream FRAGMENTATION when most developers simply do not care.

Part of moving into this marketplace is proving that you can support products after the initial hype wears off — so far, I’ve seen no ability by Samsung to come close to providing the level of support expected/deserved by those that purchased the first generation Galaxy products. I am avoiding all Samsung products until they prove they can provide the necessary support on what they sell. Amazing that they can find the time to get 2.2 on these phones and still haven’t figured it out on the two biggest U.S. distributors of their Galaxy phones. Hello Moto…

They’re going to have a really hard time providing decent support if they insist of launching 20 different phones a year, they don’t even seem to be able (or willing) to support their flagship devices.

Samsung doesn’t care about making you happy after you buy their phones, and they don’t care about Android. They just want to sell as many phones as possible with software that is a cheap as possible to get their hands on, and incrementally launch better models to make you upgrade. Anyone who doesn’t see the pattern here and buys a Samsung Android phone hoping that it won’t be obsolete within a year is foolish.

This one has an oval speaker. This one has a trapezoidal speaker. This one has a 3.3 inch screen. This one has a 3.4 inch screen. This one has a 3.5 inch screen.
Seriously…Samsung? Why don’t you stop wasting your money on so many designs and start spending your money on quality and engineering.

    • Donny

Because android means competition….which actually means offering you a new phone every month because if you want an OS upgrade you will need just that, a new phone. That is unless you sit around forums filled with teens modding their phones…

  • Heidi

No Samsung devices for me EVER again. I’m stuck with this piece of crap Captivate that still can’t get a gps fix. I’ve had it for 6 months.
I wouldn’t even buy a monitor from this company.

  • Montanaxvi

Sad, 4 new phones all with less hardware than my Epic, but newer software. Never buying Samsung again. The worst part is I knew this is how it would be going in, but thought to myself, nahhhh this is a high end phone, they want to support their Galaxy S line like no other.

  • Nightfox111

Come on… All they trying to do is make some money on Android.

  • JUSTQUAN2

to hell with samsung! my 2 phones will be the evo and the iphone again. i had no issues with either. that is what i get for trying something different instead of sticking with what works for me.

Sweet. 4 more junk phones that will never see a single update.
    F***off samsung.

  • Anonymous

    dilute the brand I say.

History repeats itself, why not just sell the darn thing with gingerbread instead of making people wait for a update the minute they get this thing.

  • Alex

    Ladies and gentleman…meet the Unupdatables!

  • Ralph D Gibson

I will never buy another Samsung product as long as I live. Poor quality and product support.

  • dance

Guys, there phones are for “budget-minded” consumers right? Who cares if they have a 800 mhz processor? As long as they work! These devices will probably launch at $50 or less. They are not targeted at gadget nerds like you guys. I don’t see anything wrong with the devices, actually they are quite attractive, at least from the looks. And I’m sure they will work well!

  • Ace3csusm

Dance…I think people are upset for that reason….they are budget phones but have 2.2 Froyo on them….Yet their high end phones are still running 2.1 and no word on release date in the US….Im glad i didnt a sammy now…and after seeing all of this i will never buy a sammy…..

  • Ericb70

Samjunk!!! They never support or update there phones. They do this so you will buy new ones over and over again using the same ol tech in a pretty new case. At least HTC updates on a regular bases..
