Verizon Wireless giving you $200 for your AT&T iPhone

mobile

Still on the fence about whether to switch to an iPhone on Verizon’s largest 3G voice and data network? If you’re a current AT&T subscriber with an iPhone 4, Verizon is offering at least $200 for your iPhone if you trade it in, and you can instantly use that towards your iPhone 4 purchase on Big Red. Could you get $350-$475 on eBay or Craigslist? Why sure, but you don’t have to meet some sketchy computer hacker in a dark hallway this way… Anyone going to take Verizon up on this offer?

UPDATE: We have confirmed Verizon’s trade-in program applies not just to Verizon handsets but to handsets from other carriers including an AT&T iPhone.

Seems like if you switch to Verizon from AT&T you would be an idiot to buy the iPhone at full price and take the $200 debt card. You can buy the iPhone at $199 or $299 as a new customer…

    sorry kiddo,
verizon is not giving anyone a penny for their gsm-based “at&t” iphone, first, it won’t work on their cdma-based network. second, why would they take any smartphone from any other carrier in? if you read the article…like jayhammy said… its only for CURRENT verizon wireless customers that have purchased a smarthphone during the holiday season (see article for exact dates) FROM verizon wireless and would like to purchase the VZW iphone at full-retail value. ALSO, it is a rebate card program, after you send in your old verizon wireless smartphone their team of specialists will check the phone, make sure its not damaged, and then send you a rebate card UP TO $200.00 for the device about two – three weeks later.
Sorry Mr. Geller, next time check your facts.
    Ciao,
