Apple App Store hits 10 billion downloads

Just over a week has passed since Apple posted up their 10 billion App Store download counter, and that’s all the time it took to hit this ridiculous milestone. Yes, Apple has sold / delivered over 10 billion apps to customers in just a few years. With Apple’s developer following and customers growing rapidly, we’re sure it won’t take nearly as long to hit 20 billion. The person who downloaded the 10 billionth app will be announced within a couple days according to Apple.

Android went from 0-26% marketshare in a year. Android gained 6% in the 3rd quarter, iPOS gained 1%. I don’t care how much money anybody made. Facts are facts, regardless the profit margin. Now, get back to Steve’s nuts.

They don’t have a proper campus or ticker symbol. Or employees that make dramatic product videos. Android has no Jonny Ives or the pudgy dude who looks Norm from Cheers. I bet that fella is a good bowler. 26% is terrible. I got that on a test once and flunked. And 6% is even worse. Now go back to munchin your wife’s fat stenchy labias, and you can’t deny she’s a beast when u feast on her yeast. Android and ipos are both nice, but Apple is a better company than Android.

    The App Store has been online for 2 1/2 years
    10 Billion Apps in that time
    7 Billion Apps in just this last year

    More than likely Apple will see the 20 Billionth App downloaded in 2011

    This year Apple well sell:

    16-20 Million Macs
    30-50 Million iPod Touches
    30-50 Million iPads
    60-80 Million iPhones

    Every executive team and board of directors at every tech company on earth has this posted on their white boards.

    Apple’s investment in Memory back in ’06 was not unique and Apple will continue this trend well beyond the 3.9 Billion they are currently investing in “Display tech”.

    Just like a prison rape folks. It is going to happen and there is nothing the other companies can do about. Sit still and try to remain calm, it will be over when it’s over.

        Android doen’t outsell any OS douchebag, its open source and free (til Oracle hands Google its ass in a hand bag). Soon you will be paying as the rest of us for your glorified OS. And when you have to pay to subsidize the royallties Google will have to cough up, and have to wait six months for your OS upgrades from the phone carriers will see what happens to your market share.
        PC’s outsell Macs because their cheap in price in addition to being junk. Pull out the corporate world who recycle PC’s like you change your under ware and the numbers will start to even out.

    I download a bunch of Apps and delete them right away… like many other people do… they are useless… What counts is the total number of Apps and Android is closing in!

    The iPhone 4 is dated in today’s market. Newer Android phones are out with faster processors, better displays, more RAM and so forth… and when iPhone 5 comes out in June/July… the newer Android phones will be ahead again for at least a year or more….

    When Steve Jobs dies… Apple will be in big trouble… Give it 2 to 3 years after he dies and Apple won’t be the same! :)

        Iconic machines he developed will be popular. Machines that the new Apple without Jobs develops will not be popular. Keep that in mind!

        Apple combines iPod sales with iPhone sales only to make iOS look stronger! iPod is slowly dying and the true numbers will speak in the very near future… A company such as Apple should be growing… They only have 10% of the market share for PC sales… iPhone is new and is growing… Once it has reached a certain level it will not be growing anymore… it will be flat… just like Apple products! :)

        If you dont want them to combine all iOS products for comparison reason then pick one phone from one manufacturer (you can even count all carriers for that phone) running Android and lets see the hard numbers. You pick the number one selling phone running Androids OS and compare it with the number one sold version of iPhone. No iPod Touch and No iPad in the picture. Lets see sales numbers, ability to perform in all aspects one against the other. In addition, how much support your “choice” phone gets specifically with OS upgrades.

        Well let’s put this into another perspective shall we? Apple forces carriers to let Apple fanboys upgrade every year. It’s the only phone that allows you to upgrade on a yearly basis… It is no wonder why Apple sells so many devices. If people were locked in for 2 years like any other Smartphone, Apple sales would be LOW. VERY LOW!

        It is for this reason that you have no fair comparison… Sooner than later, carriers will change this policy and you won’t be upgrading on a yearly basis at a cheaper rate… :) ))) Can’t wait till that happens…

    I hope the Mac developers get the idea in the Mac App Store. You actually are better off with 100,000 $5 sales than 10,000 $50 sales, because ten times as many satisfied customers are talking about your product. And $5 is a casual purchase, if you think you might like and use an app. $50 gets a lot more scrutiny. $100 is not gonna happen unless it extends my life or part of my anatomy.
    What’s more, I just came across a mod video converter from Mac App Store. Does anyone download it??

    This just goes to show that “there’s an app for that.” I got my iPhone 4 from Axiom about 3 months ago, and I had an iPhone 3GS before that. It really has everything I need, and it’s because Apple are aware it’s not about hardware anymore; it’s all about the apps.
