Apple reveals top iOS apps of all time

mobile

As the clock continues to count down toward Apple’s milestone of 10 billion apps downloaded from the App Store, the company has revealed its top iOS applications of all time. The list is split into four categories — top paid iPhone apps, top free iPhone apps, top paid iPad apps and top free iPad apps — and there are definitely some familiar faces in this crowd. The top paid iPhone app of all time is Doodle Jump, and SoundHound tops the list of paid iPad apps. Facebook finds itself atop the free iPhone app list, of course, and Pandora is No. 1 on the list of free iPad apps. As TechCrunch points out, however, there are also a few surprises in the bunch. The Google Mobile App is the No.3 free iPhone app of all time — something Apple might not be terribly excited about. Also, crowd favorite Angry Birds is only No. 4 on the all-time list of top paid iPhone apps, behind the aforementioned Doodle Jump as well as Tap Tap Revenge 3 and Pocket God. Hit the break for the full lists.

So, I guess iFart Mobile is the best of the thousands of fart apps. Is it (or will it be in the future) multi dimensional – you know – sound, site and smell? Maybe the additionl small pinhole on the iPhone5 vaporware is not another proximity sensor or second FFC but where it shoots out smell and other 4D wonders. LOL.

With Apple fans constantly touting the number of apps in the App Store (over 300K and counting), it is interesting to note that few of the most downloaded apps are also available in other platforms as well, including Blackberry OS. However, no Angry Birds for Storm or Torch. Too bad. I would love to sling those nasty birds all day.

HA! They tout their 300,000 apps, as if they are so superior to Android’s 210,000. These are the types of apps ios users actually download. Funny shit! Kids, and adults that can’t grow up!

I imagine Android’s top 10 lists would only contain task managers, wallpapers, and themes. Not sure how that’s better.

Nobody with 2 ounces of common sense would use a task manager. Wallpapers
might be in there. At least we can see our wallpaper. Themes are only
available in ADW, or rooted phones. So, that wouldn’t be in there. Some that
are in the top would be: Easy Tether, PDAnet, Adobe Flash, Swype (not in the
market) and I’m sure some silly games to boot.

What, no WhatsApp on that list? I was under the impression that was the most important app on iOS.

the best app of all time: ivirus. its an app we are working on that when downloaded, destroys the iphone from the inside out, causing it to melt in the user’s hand. free download too!
