Amazon, GameStop offering pre-orders of Nintendo 3DS

Gaming

Got yourself all jazzed up about the impending release of the Nintendo 3DS? Good news. Retailers Amazon and GameStop have begun offering pre-orders of the 3D portable-gaming system. In return for hammering in your credit card digits, and promising to pay $249.99 in March, you can reserve yourself the latest and greatest gadget from the Japanese electronics maker. Any takers?

its just hard for me to believe people still play nintendo. With all these great, high def gaming experiences available now for roughly the same price, why do people still spend money on Nintendo’s sub par, pixelated, often boring games? And whats the deal with all the Mario games? The first one wasnt fun, none of the others are fun either. I mean, I guess if you’re 5 or 6 years old and dont know the difference between quality gaming and Nintendo I could understand why you ask Santy Claus for a Nintendo product. Me? I’m going to stick with Playstion3 and PSP – the best of the best. High Definition IS the future and Nintendo needs to get with the times. BTW, Wii is getting really, really old. How about instead of releasing the same exact handheld every year in a newer, better package but with still the same boring graphics and games, you actually create something interesting and Hi Def? 3D is boring. Especially on a tiny screen. and especially when the games suck to begin with. Come on, Nintendo. Get with the times. And to the people who keep buying their prehistoric crap: STOP. maybe they will finally realize they suck and go away if people stop encouraging them by buying their lame products. Time for retirement, Nintendo. And the younger generation is more interested in Playstation and 360 anyway. Its mostly boring church families and old virgins who still live with their parents that play Nintendo. Thankfully, those types of people are dying off.

From your immature name to your stupid childish rant, I can tell you simply don’t play games. You play shooters. While I love a great PC shooter, you can’t deny the immense fun that is had with New Super Mario Bros Wii with a few friends or Mario Kart Wii (both of which have outsold all shooters when combined across all platforms they were available on). Nintendo as a publisher is also by far the most profitable and highest unit sold as world wide. That’s saying a lot when they only have two platforms to sell on and others like EA or Activision have 7 or 8 different platforms. Its time you tried other games…. and before you cry foul, I own a monster PC and a PS3 as well as DSs and a Wii. Hardcore gaming is playing all games.. not just those that guide you down paths to simply shoot the next bug.

Hi Def does not mean better in terms of gameplay. There are plenty of games that are beautiful but just freaking awful. From the way you rant and moan, it does seem that you think the only games that are considered good are shooters and has to be in HD. Take a look on any big game sites and they can show you tons of games that look beautiful but the gameplay is terrible.
Besides, as the others have stated, if Nintendo’s games truly suck as you claim it to be so, then why are they still making profits every year and constantly growing while other big names disappear into oblivion? Obviously the games they make are pretty damn good, especially their flagship games like Mario, Zelda, Metroid (Other M is a personal preference. The gaming community is pretty divided on this) and a few others.
Oh and by the way, calling people who play Nintendo games “boring church families and old virgins who still live with their parents” is much like calling you the authority on the best games in the industry with a mind that Einstein can’t even compare to.
