Best Buy not carrying Verizon iPhone, but has exclusive on HTC ThunderBolt?

We just received a tip that confirms Best Buy will not be carrying the Verizon iPhone at launch, but it seems as if the retailer will be receiving something for its troubles. According to our source, Best Buy will have the “exclusive retail sale” rights for the HTC ThunderBolt. We’ll see if this pans out, and as exciting as the HTC ThunderBolt is, there’s no substitute for Verizon iPhone mania.

    This probably has to do with how pissed Verizon was over BestBuy undercutting the Verizon store prices by $100 on some phones and stopped shipping them some of the DROID lineup. Last thing they want is BB to steal their thunder by offering the same phone for cheaper. Especially since Verizon probably is charging a premium for the first couple months for all the people who must have their Wifis immediately and can’t wait for #5. Once they get those sales they’ll drop the price by $50 and let Best Buy do its worst. That’s my bet.

    Thunderbolt the Wonder Phone!! iPhone is nice as bling goes but this is truly a monster!
