DigiTimes: HTC’s Scribe tablet to be revealed at MWC in February

Rumor

The Taiwanese rumor mill that is DigiTimes has let go another tablet-based prognostication. In a post today, the blog asserts that HTC will release its 7-inch Scribe tablet at the Mobile World Congress conference in Barcelona this February. The report, which also mentions that the Scribe will be running Android 3.0, cites “Taiwan based makers of components” as the source of its information. HTC, who was one of the first major phone manufacturers to jump on the Android bandwagon, has been noticeably absent from the tablet market — an absence that may work in the company’s favor if this rumor turns out to be true. It’s all speculative at this point, but we know HTC won’t be on the tablet-sidelines forever.

How come you never rave on Verizons best tablet the ipad?

Because there are not at least two VZW logos on it. Don’t get me wrong. As soon VZW starting selling them I got one, but it doesn’t feel right without several logos or proprietary VZW software enhancements.

I did however put a RULE THE AIR decal on the back so I feel a little better about it but it still doesn’t touch my Samsung DROID Galaxy Tab 3G with at least 3 separate real VZW logos.

Six months ago HTC’s CEO said they have no intention of doing tablets. That if they would enter the market it would be Windows 7 based. How time changed.

really looking forward to an HTC tablet… If it’s one thing these Guys know it’s SOFTWARE Enhancement. I think folks would appreciate “Sense” more on a tablet becuase it would make more Sense…
