Images of Sony Ericsson’s Hallon surface?

General

According to rumors attached to the above photograph, what we are looking at is none other than Sony Ericsson’s Hallon handset. It is widely thought that Sony Ericsson will introduce several high-end handsets at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this February. The device pictured has a front-facing camera, convex top, and is running an unknown version of Android (some outlets are reporting that the Hallon is running Gingerbread but it is difficult to clearly discern whether we are looking at Android 2.3 or a Sony Ericsson UI skin). The handset also features a top-mounted micro-USB port, similar to the one present on Galaxy S handsets. The Hallon will purportedly bear the model number MT15i; a model number that some have seen in their website user agent logs. With CES and MWC on the horizon, you can expect to see a barrage of new Android handsets from OEMs in the coming days and weeks. Who’s excited?

Does the chipped paint come with it for no additional cost? if so, classy!

That looks really, really blue and Gingerbread seems to have black/orange/green thing going on, so I’m going to guess that’s a Sony skin. Since it’s a Sony skin and… well, since it’s Sony, I’m going to say they’re running FroYo.

Other than that, I’m on VZW, so I see no reason to get excited about it. HTC and Motorola are the only companies who excite me these days, since they’re the only ones banging out CDMA handsets worth talking about.

Knowing Sony it will be like their X10 line, released months late and then released with an older version of android, and upgradeable to a version then not supported!
