Trade in your old cell phone and get an EVO 4G for $99 at The Shack

Retail

Need a last minute present for… yourself? If you’ve had your eye on HTC’s EVO 4G from Sprint for a while, your patience may have finally paid off. RadioShack is guaranteeing customers a $100 trade in on their old mobile device when purchasing an EVO and opening a new line or signing a new 2-year contract. The exact verbiage of the deal is as follows:

Trade up to HTC EVO 4G for only $99

Starting Sunday, December 19, through December 25, RadioShack will be helping both new and upgrade customers get their hands on one of this year’s most popular devices, HTC EVO 4G from Sprint. For next week only, both new and upgrade customers are guaranteed a $100 trade-in value for any working cell phone through our Trade & Save program, so with a 2-year plan, they can get the HTC EVO 4G for the low cost of $99. (Trade-in offer limited to one per customer. Some restrictions may apply.)

Not a bad deal for what is arguably the hottest mobile handset of 2010!

wow this is sweet! if only sprint had a trade in program that goes towards the cost of a phone off contract…. wait maybe they do, i am not sure. but sprint should DEFINITELY have an option to buy a phone on a payment plan like T-Mobile! just my two cents haha

    Sorry double post

Amazon wireless has both the black and white Evo as well as the Epic 4G for 99 dollars no trade in required!!!

    • Cer

      1) Amazon doesn’t allow Sprint upgrades

      2) No trade-in needed on Radioshack online

      3) Radioshack online throws in a worthless bluetooth headset (but then charges you for shipping)

There are plenty of places that do upgrades and new contracts for this price. Google it.

      • Cer

You’re telling me that there are “plenty of places” selling EVOs for $99 for upgrading customers? You’re so wrong it’s just silly.

This used to be true about amazon, however they recently released Amazon Wireless and you can buy it for new, upgrade, or no contract.

Oh wow, this must have happened over the past couple days. Thanks for letting me know!

I did this without turning in a phone and going to Best Buy – whom wasnt going to do it, till I threatened to return the EVO I bought 3 days prior from them… HAHA!

But if they did want the phone, I was gonna turn in an old MetroPCS phone I bought for $30, in 2007 that I only used for the free months…haha

I’d need $99 just to get within shouting distance of a “Shack,” much less trade in a phone.

Hopefully they will announce the Evo 2.

Trade in your old phone. For a old phone. Lol The evo came out in june. There are 172 or so android phones. It’s a old phone as is the iPhone 4

    • Me

6 months is hardly old. This EVO will be superseded shortly by new Android phones announced at CES but not the iPhone 4.

I wish they,d left the name Supersonic on it.

New phones wil be announced in a matter of weeks that will beat the EVO in every way. Like the HD Incredible. So while it is tempting its probably not very smart. It’s pretty easy to get that for this price anytime if you look around a little. Like Amazon among others and you don’t need a trade-in.

How is the phone the hottest of 2010? That would easily be the iPhone 4 in units sold of an individual model. I very much doubt this is even the most sold Android handset. I like this one a lot despite is terrible battery life but no way is it the hottest phone of 2010. Thats just silly.
