Dell Venue Pro with AT&T 3G gets FCC approval

Hardware

Dell is having a hard time getting its T-Mobile compliant Windows Phone 7 handset — the Venue Pro – shipped in time for the holidays, but that hasn’t stopped the company from sending at second iteration of the device to the FCC for approval. A Venue Pro sporting WCDMA bands II and V — AT&T’s 850MHz and 1900MHz 3G bands — has crossed the government agency’s desk. If you’re an AT&T, Bell, Rogers, or Telus customer, and fancy the vertical-sliding device, this is encouraging news. While FCC approval doesn’t guarantee a release, it is certainly a step in the right direction. Any customers of the aforementioned carriers interested in the Venue Pro?

Would this mark the first WP7 to show up on more than one carrier in the US?

Why didn’t you just make it with Penta Band radios Dell?? You can’t even launch on T-Mo and now you want to try with that God-awful network. Dell, you’re just dumb on top of dumb…

Right on – MR. DELL you’re wireless business is about to take a dump in the toilet with connecting with AT&T

DELL is a looser for going with AT&T Wireless. Everyone is dumping AT&T for horrific service/network issues throughout the USA. DELL isn’t a serious contender in the wireless market place for allowing themselves to get a bad reputation for hooking up with one of the worse wireless carriers ever (READ: CONSUMER REPORTS about AT&T – worse carrier).

Not for nothing but Att seems to get hit with all of these bad reports yet customers still go there. If they are so bad they shouldn’t be posting gains YOY they should be bleeding worse than sprint and tmobile. Plus I am not one to allow others to make up my mind on what works for me consumer reports, jd power etc. They too are fallible imo
