Greenwich Apple Store robbed

Retail

On Tuesday morning, the Greenwich, Conn. Apple Store was allegedly robbed by five men, and we decided to drop by the scene today to see for ourselves. The store is now open for business, though one of two main entrances to the location is still blocked off ahead of repairs, which should take place soon.

According to reports and surveillance video, the suspects broke in through the large glass doors by smashing the glass. They proceeded to grab items on display in the store and apparently made off with tens of thousands of dollars in merchandise. No arrests have been made at this time.

    The Greenwich Apple store is just two blocks from the police station. I wonder what the police were busy doing at 3:00am in a town that has minimal crime and one of the highest per capita incomes in the world.

    It really needs to be hammered home that this is ridiculous. This is non-news for a site like this, it’s ridiculous that BGR employees went out of their way to go to Greenwich and this is how you lose respect and readers.

      Apple invests plenty on security except that it’s all to protect iOS and not the stupid stores

    I always hated the guy who made grammer type corrections while I was speaking

    BUT

    Rob = burglary with violent force or threat of violence (ie. Mugging)

    Burglary = stealing without physical force ie. Break in while no one is there…

      While we are on the subject…

      Grammer = Grammar

    Apple does not care about them being stolen or trying to get them back. Thats why they have insurance.

    I’ve been hearing a lot lately about Apple stores being broken into. One in my town got robbed and they had that exact some black slab of whatever that is for a while.

    So are they going to list them on ebay? (;

    The store was burglarized. PLEASE…….get this right. Robbery implies someone walked into the store and physically, with force or threat of force took property. Be responsible in you reporting.
