Nokia pushes E7 release to early 2011

mobile

Reuters is reporting that the world’s largest OEM handset manufacturer Nokia has delayed the release of its E7 handset until early 2011. A Nokia spokesperson said that the move was to “ensure the best possible user experience” on the device. The E7 is a peta-band WCDMA handset that also has a quad-band GSM radio, 4-inch polarized AMOLED display, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, 16 GB of mass storage, 8 megapixel camera with 720p video recording and dual-LED flash, HMDI connector, and 1200 mAh battery.

2010 has been a tough year for Nokia smartphone releases. Hopefully, the company will come out swinging in 2011.

“ensure the best possible user experience”

Great does this mean they are putting a real OS on it and upping the battery size?

Nokias have some of the best batteries life…I have the N8 and it last at least 1.5 days with email on active sync otherwise it would go even longer

Oh no…all of the Euro tech forks can’t get the latest edition nokia graphing calculator, I mean alleged smart phone.

…sorry, what’s an iphone if not a dumb phone with some phony multitask if not jailbroken, and then again why do ppl hate Symbian when they can’t even manage to use the OS cause they’re too lazy to learn…

Donny is just a troll who thinks its funny to bash Nokia

Hey might as well push it right off the cliff and never release it.

“640 x360 resolution”? Nokia still doesn’t get it. Instead of calling this one the “E7″, just call it what it is: “D.O.A.”

      Exactly

5MP camera, crippled BT, dropped calls, lack of true multitasking? Apple still doesnt get it. Instead of calling this one the “the iphone4″, just call it what it is: “D.O.A.”

The resolution is not bad. I have the N8 and the resolution is actually damn good.

Also per GSMARENA, they rated the Nokia C6-01 Amoled display with clear black display as the best display on the market now. I guess Nokia has no clue how to make a good phone.

I plan on getting one…I have just been waiting for the 4″ screen and the slide keyboard. I look for the phones talk quality and reception to be well above the other manufactures as it has always been with Nokia all the other stuff has always been either second or third with me but I don’t mind waiting given now that so many phones are being released on a daily basis. it was only a matter of time.

Honestly I would like to know how real life battery life is, I just may sell my N8 to get this but honestly I love the camera on the N8, it truly is phenomenal

      • Dex

I actually wanted the N8 because of the quality of the phone along with the camera…but I truly needed the keyboard and I had heared this was coming out so I held off.

Over on Symbianworld.org…eighteen days standyby and 9 hours talk time. the other specs are also listed there.
