Mozilla patches 13 security holes in Firefox 3.5, 3.6

Security

Earlier this week, the Mozilla organization released updated versions of its 3.5 and 3.6 Firefox Web browsers. The updated bits patched 13 vulnerabilities found in the code-base, and 11 of the aforementioned security issues were listed as “critical” by the company. The vulnerabilities ranged from buffer and integer overflows to SSL spoofing. If you’re using Firefox 3.5 or 3.6 be sure to click the “Check for Updates” link under the “Help” menu to grab the latest and greatest from Mozilla.

Why do you post a screenshot of macos? Im really tired to see this shit in blogs with stupid fanboy editors, fucking hipsters think they are better because they use a overpriced linux wannabe with a lame skin, nobody uses your shitty os, stop trying to shove it down people throats.

But Fight, the TV says it’s cool to Be a Mac! PC users just play with spreadsheets, while Mac users do cool things like edit videos and play games!

Who cares. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. I am dual booting Windows XP and Windows 7, but I also have Mac OS X Tiger and Leopard in my VMware.

If tech writers use Macs that should tell you immediately that Macs are better. Tech writers have to literally use hundreds of new gadgets every year. The fact that they would go back to using Macs after all that experience, should tell you that Macs are obviously better.

I don’t remember ever reading a review on a PC on here. Macs are just a lot more interesting to review – they have that cool factor that Apple products bring. I’ve always prefered PC over Mac, though I’d love to have both. Mac for basic daily use, travel and entertainment, and PC for everything school related, programming, and software that isn’t available on Mac. Not to mention customization :) They do both have advantages and disadvantages, but I feel the specs disadvantage of the Mac for the specs you get for the same price on a PC is a real drawback. Because of this, application development for Mac is nowhere as large as PC (few people want to waste an extra $1000 to get decent specs). And the thing about Macs ‘just working’….my Toshiba ‘just works’ as well. No problems. People just aren’t computer literate enough.

Your whole argument is invalidated by the fact that you can install Windows on a Mac. You are essentially buying 2 computers when you buy a Mac, a Mac and a PC. If you just buy a PC, you’re limited to what you have available for Windows. When you buy a Mac, you have access to everything and Macs last a lot longer than your average PC.

So are there gonna be any comments about the actual post or is this just going to turn into yet another mac vs. pc flamewar?

I’ve been using Chrome for the last month or so and can’t believe how superior it is to other browsers. I was a FF user for years but it became such a memory hog. While Chrome can certainly use it’s share of, the built in task manager is genius and an ideal way to control resources. Not to mention the Chrome equivalent to the extensions I used for FF just work better, especially AdBlock. As soon as there is an option to open bookmarks in their own tab (or as soon as I find the extension for it) FF will be a thing of the past for me.
