Facebook Connect: 250 million monthly users, adding 10,000 sites every day

At the Le Web conference in Paris France, Facebook’s platform chief, Ethan Beard, told technology blog TechCrunch that his company’s Facebook Connect service now has 250 million users making monthly connections via third-party sites. Mr. Beard went on to note that 100 million of those users began using the Connect service within the past year and that Facebook is adding nearly 10,000 sites per day.

    I use it a lot, just login once and forget about passwords. May some of my ‘private’ information get in hands of them? Whatever is truly private should not be posted online, so, i just dont do it.

    BTW: used OpenID coz FBC is having issues, LOL.

    The FB connect hasnt worked since BGR went to this new format. I like the new format (not quit as much as the old) but I’d really like to be able to log in with FB like it appears to be designed for & not create another account with some other site. Fix that & were in business BGR. People complain about alot of stories coming later than Engadget or other sites but i like your site best. The FB log in is my only beef
