New HTC Knight images suggest imminent release

mobile

An excited HTCPedia Shop just emailed us several times to show off a handful of new HTC Knight images it received from one of its suppliers. The HTC Knight — also known as the HTC Speedy, and rumors suggest it could launch as the HTC EVO Shift 4G — is a forthcoming Android smartphone for Sprint. Specs posted along with these newly leaked images jibe with our report from last month, suggesting the device will feature a 3.7-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keypad and WiMAX connectivity. Our report also suggested the device will include an 8-megapixel camera, a 1GHz processor and the Android 2.2 OS, though hopefully HTC will soon have Sense running on Gingerbread and an update won’t be far off. Hit the jump for a few more images.

i wonder if sprint will let me trade in my current Evo for a credit towards this sexy thing… (wishful thinking…)

    • Jeriatrich

They’ll give you a credit, but a credit towards the full price of the phone. Sprint has a trade-in program.

      me three

  • Mgl323

It looks like a larger HTC Hero.

…I’d say it looks like a smaller HTC Evo…which is the point

      • Mgl323

        Or both.

  • Norm

This looks identical to the DROID EVO on Sprint. Why would anyone need this?

    • Anonymous

DROID EVO? Sprint sells no “DRODS”, that is Verizon marketing BS.

      • badboy1979

Norm means it is the Droid Incredible for Sprint.

      • Jeriatrich

        Except he’s wrong.

No need to read the article, right?

i kinda wish it was a world phone as i travel a lot and my current blackberry tour 9650 has been great! I also hope its not really thick like under .5 inches would be great. Im sure its gonna be priced at $200 on release but the evo 4g would be at $100 by that time…decision decisions! Man for me the evo 4g is almost the perfect phone minus the world capabilities.

EVO will never drop that low, sprint still has the touch pro2 selling @$200 on contract

  • Hellboy

What’s the difference from that knight and the Evo they look the same.

      Keyboard….

    • Jeriatrich

Size. Does anyone read these articles anymore before posting?

Why can’t Sprint release a decent android phone without 4G?

    • Jeriatrich

Because they like the extra $10 a month from everyone.

    • Anonymous

The Transform, 3.5 in screen and a front facing cam. And if the $10 fee is a problem just activate a plan on Everything Plus its $59.99.

The Optimus S has gotten decent reviews.

Please come out in January……better yet….Christmas would be nice.

  • Anonymous

    Fuck that 4G fee.

  • Adam

I was just about to say the same thing. Does anyone read the article or do you all look at just the pictures? It’s smaller 3.7, and it has a slide out keyboard. The keyboard is a HUGE difference. Read the article before posting your nonsense.

  • Homer

Why does everyone complain about the 4G fee? So it will be $79 per month instead of $69… big deal. Go to a Verizon store and try getting a Droid for under $79 per month, they will probably laugh at you and walk away. And you wouldn’t even have “4G” capability even if you are in an area that offers it.

Looks like an incredible with a case on it…
