Well that didn’t take long. Hours after the Best Buy snafu, Engadget managed to get their hands on a half-dozen images of the next “Google phone.” So here’s what we know. The device will carry the model name GT-I9020 (the unbranded Galaxy S is the GT-I9000) have a front-facing video camera, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and — according to a model that recently crossed the FCC’s desk — T-Mobile’s AWS 3G bands. All that’s left is for the official unveiling from Google and or Samsung. Hit the read link to check out the other images.

UPDATE: AndroidPolice have acquired a document from Best Buy that indicates Nexus S floor displays could go live in-stores by November 14th. [Read]

About time…such irony…everybody wants a stripped down phone with no company specific UI on top…and yet the phone companies insist on spending money developing them. If this phone came to verizon it would absolutely crush the existing samsung and droid phones.

This think is way too glossy. Makes it look cheap, even the screen appears to be glossy. Good luck using it in direct sunlight. Google, you can do better!

I know what a superamoled screen is, but on this device it appears to be buried under shiny plastic. The plasic will still reflect sunlight no matter what screen in underneath it.

Will its reception suck – like the vibrants?

Will its battery life suck – like the vibrants?

Will the screen look awesome – like the vibrants?

Will I unfortunately have to go back to a blackberry with reception and battery life – like I did ?

Can they possibly make the damn thing any bigger – as of now it is a “mini-pad”
