ZTE Peel hitting Sprint November 14th; $30/month, no contract?

Whisper

We’ve just heard from a Sprint source that the ZTE Peel — the iPod touch case designed to bring cellular data to your otherwise non-cellular device — will go on sale November 14th. We don’t have any details on how much the actual device will sell for, but we do know Sprint plans on charging $29.99 per month for 1GB of data usage with no contract.

    That’s some bull..

1GB for $30. Why is it that my phone (which uses 10GB of data/month) costs $60 and I can talk to as many people as I want to as long as they’re on a cell phone (or on my list of 5 landline), but once it’s no longer a “phone” they try to make it seem like data is more expensive.

Is data through this ZTE device magical and no one told me?

It’s called gouging the consumer. The mega corps think they can get away with it because the average Joe/Jane blow are brain dead. Luckily people still read and know better. Now if people would just send the message home by closing their wallets these sort of scams wouldn’t happen on a regular basis.

I’d sign up for this in a heartbeat if they could find a way to give people VOIP for android phones.
