Apple Store opening soon in Brooklyn?

Exclusive

This isn’t the first time rumors of a Brooklyn Apple Store have surfaced, but it is without question the first time they’ve come right from the horse’s mouth. BGR has learned that Apple is currently seeking Apple Solutions Consultants in Brooklyn, NY. Apple’s job listing clearly calls for candidates who would work at a retail sales location, and it is currently the only job listing found when Brooklyn is specified as the search location. While further details are scarce for the time being, we could be getting fairly close to a grand opening if Apple is already looking for a sales team.

Thanks, Scott!

They should have opened an Apple Headquarters there instead.

I love how Apple opening a store is considered news. You can tell how Apple-minded this site is when they’re reporting that Apple is opening a store.

Hey, Zach, is there a new Target anywhere in the United States opening up soon?

I was going to comment the exact same thing…

It is news when is the retailer that sell the most $ for sq ft. The 5th ave store sell $35,000.00 annually per sq ft. By comparison, Tiffany sell $18,000.00 per sq ft. Want to know where Target is in the list???

An Apple store in Brooklyn? Who cares? When did Brooklyn become this super cool place? I lived there for 34 years and it was always the place for out of towners to live that couldn’t afford Manhattan.

you must not be from Brooklyn..ive lived here for 25 years and its always been the coolest place. The city is where out of towners live because they think its the cool place to be..

      • Anonymous

because they don’t know any better

      • Anonymous

Haha. Dude youre crazy. People who move to NYC move to manhattan because the don’t know any better. That’s what they see on all the movies.

Brooklyn is hipster central, how there isn’t an Apple Store there already boggles my mind…

Agreed. Thousands of hipsters will now dress up on the weekend for a visit to their newly built place of worship.

    Why is this tech news?

  • Sirius25

Really? A store opening is news? No one cares

previous commenters are all idiots. i bet this opens in the fulton st area?

    • Anonymous

Fulton St? That dumpy area is nice now?

      • Anonymous

now i know your def not from brooklyn… they’ve been working on fulton ave/atlantic ave for years now, thats where they are putting Nets stadium.. don’t pose as someone from Brooklyn

      • Anonymous

        really?

I lived on Ocean Parkway from when I was born in 1966 till 1988. Then moved to Prospect Ave and lived there till 2000.

Last time I was over at Atlantic Yards (which is what the area you’re referring to is called) it was a dump. Drive up Atlantic Ave a few miles and see how you like it, that area was even worse.

Brooklyn is a great place to be “from”, you couldn’t pay me to live there now.

Might be a store, but most likely the new iAd teams’s offices.

  • Peter

Don’t get too excited. Apple solutions consultants are the guys who work at those store-in-a-store places in big department stores or big box retailers. That isn’t a position in actual apple stores.

  • Norm

We need a DROID store there, not a crApple store.

    • Anonymous

there are droid stores…its called verizon.

You should ost every time any store ever opens. It makes great news.
“This just in… A New Taco Bell is opening in Tempe, AZ. There has been speculation but no one thought it would actually happen. They even are hiring! Tacos for all”

  • sirpaul

How exactly could a grand opening be soon? Don’t you think people would have noticed an Apple store being setup or built? It’s kind of hard to not notice a whole building with a huge Apple logo on it…

    • Anonymous

you’ve obviously never been to Brooklyn

      • Anonymous

You are being absurd — and I live in NYC. The NY Post has articles the moment they catch a whiff of a new Apple Store being built — Apple can’t do anonymously — they need a truckload of permits.

      • Anonymous

Do you know how long it took people to realize they were building a stadium on Atlantic.. It’s very possible for them to build without the public knowing. The industrial areas (Red Hook) of Brooklyn are places to hide stores as well.

This means they looking for someone to work at a retail store (best buy, target) in brooklyn. You find those guys teaching customers about macs products. #fail

Why is there even a question mark in the post title? Isn’t that photo confirmation enough? :-P

OMG, a new Apple store! I can hardly contain myself. I think I’ll camp out and hope Stevie shows up so that I can kiss his feet.

How is this tech news? Are we going to get an article about every Apple store opening? If Apple opens a store in Albany, or Poughkeepsie, or Pittsburgh, is BGR going to cover that too?

I live in Brooklyn …I wonder where they plan to put it? Atlantic/Pacific (on Flatbush) would make sense. Certainly there are plenty of hipsters and yuppies around here that will make this a popular store.

  • noworrieswho i am

i wonder where hmmmm. i already know down to the door where it is. me and my wife walked pass it about 3 weeks ago. surprised its just now going public.
