The much-rumored Samsung Continuum has made an appearance on a Verizon Wireless website, providing the first official confirmation of the phone’s imminent release. The Continuum popped up on a special page focused on holiday gift ideas, which features three Galaxy S devices from Samsung: the Fascinate, the Galaxy Tab and the Continuum. Though no other information is provided on Verizon’s site, the Continuum will reportedly feature a 3.4-inch Super-AMOLED touchscreen display above a secondary 1.8-inch Super-AMOLED display, mobile hotspot capability, a 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording, 2GB of internal storage, microSDHC support and Android 2.1. The Samsung Continuum is expected to be announced at a Samsung media event on November 8th, with a release date rumored to follow on November 11th.

Verizon is such crap. They lured people in with the DROID getting them to think they wouldn’t abuse android and they did. No wonder Apple didn’t wanna mess with them. THey didn’t want all of this BLOAT on their phones. Google is whore so I get their reasoning.

I’m liking the secondary screen for notifications concept.

Android 2.1 my ass. Should have 2.2.

I won’t buy another device that is under the label “update coming soon”.

I mean Fascinate is nice and all, but Samsung seriously sucks at putting out updates. I hope the far off rumors of Samsung devices with vanilla Android are true.

if you have about 10 apps, you will be prompted to update at least one of them every 2 weeks–on average.

    nice try, but no.

fragmentation has always been a bogeyman, and unfortunately, it seems like it always will be

Seriously, why are 2.1 phones still coming out? That’s inexcusable.
