Palm Pre 2 heads north to Rogers

Last week, rumors of the Palm Pre 2′s eventual arrival in Canada surfaced as a result of tidbits extracted from the source code on Palm’s Canadian website. Today, those rumors gain a healthy dose of credibility thanks to a series of leaked images. The aforementioned images show a Rogers info sheet for the Pre 2 as well as the device itself, which is powered on and connected to the Rogers network. Of course nothing is confirmed for the time being, as Rogers has yet to announce the smartphone.

    I’m a contract attorney in greater NYC. I’m a smart person so I know my gadgets and also agree with the person above I see an enhanced-sized screen. I also think the space key has been enlarged. This will not move me over from my Blackberry Torch if it hits the U.S.

      @Sandy S. Schwartz: If Palm didn’t *enhance* and therefore, misrepresent, they would be fairly held accountable for delivering less than what the market is buying. Who would ever think that HP would sink to Palm’s level. Match made in heaven, aren’t they? ;)

      More critical eyes are needed where the representation of bullshit is concerned. Good on ya!

    I was thinking of getting a Palm Pre Plus and giving my iPhone 4 to my father, but should I just wait and see if at&t gets the Pre 2? What do you guys thinks? Get Pre Plus, wait for Pre 2, or stay with iPhone 4?….thanks…

      you can buy a developer phone from HP Palm if you dont mind shelling out some funds. It will work on ATT as its the same UMTS bands and is unlocked! The iPhone is boring, give it to your father.

    Maybe it’s just the pics, but his one looks thicker than my original Pre. Screen size looks the same though. Maybe it’s higher resolution. I honestly don’t care enough to look for specs.

      OK, I took the time and looked up the screen specs. They’re the same for the Pre 2 as for the original Pre.

      Some people might be disappointed, but the original screen was gorgeous so going higher res was really not necessary.

    yea the hardware could be better on the phone but if it runs the os quickly and theres no lag i dont really see a problem. the PROBLEM really comes when you put shitty hardware that cant handle the os ie. the blackberry torch. if the os is speed and quick than who gives a rats ass.

    I hate my pre. I can’t wait to replace it with the evo in a couple of weeks. My bf thinks I got a defective unit, idk. But I wouldn’t even take a free pre 2. Fool me once, shame on you palm. Fool me twice, shame on me.

    I went from pre to epic and i am not pleased at all. WebOS is so much more intuitive and cohesive then android.
