Apple cancels white iPhone 4?

Adding on to last night’s Apple announcement that the company would further delay the release of the white iPhone 4, we have received new information that paints a different story. According to a previous source of ours, we have been told that Apple in fact has no plans to release the white model iPhone 4. Our source hypothesizes another “delay” communicated around March leading us into an iPhone 5 release time-frame in June / July. Something interesting is that manufacturing sources our contact has are keeping quiet on the matter, not confirming that this was in fact a manufacturing issue at this point, but that there might be something else going on behind the scenes.

Oh well. We’ll always have CNN.cn.

        i have an iphone 3g and have vowed to never purchase another apple product again period. they keep having these new releases every several months requiring you to trade up your hardware. I was amped for the iphone initially, before its very first release, simply because it made sense, in order to update the look of the phone you could simply change the gui as there are no buttons etc. funny how the gui looks exactly the same except for folders. notice how apple was bigging up their bumpers on the site before the public found the reception problem, and rather than a recall basically threw elastic bands at the problem.

        nothing to do with not affording it, i have money and will always have money. but i will always put quality of product And service over trendiness.

        It’s every year, not every “few months”.

        I’m curious as to whose phones you do buy now then, as all phone manufacturers release newer models on a similar time frame – many in fact are “worse” (if that’s the right way of looking at it) than Apple.

        This makes no sense. Form follows function. You say you value service over trendiness, yet doing what you ask for here – changing the UI for the sake of it to keep the phone looking “fresh” – would be doing the exact precise opposite of what you say you value.

        Either you’re extremely stupid or a very poor troll.

        I have to agree! Everyone thinks these phones are made in the U.S., in California… EXTREME WRONG!!! There is NOT ONE Cell Phone Made in the U.S.A.!!! As a matter of fact, there are very few Consumer Electronis made in the U.S. PERIOD!

        iPhones are made in China and Korea. The Apps are added in California… that’s it.

        My recommendation, if you have the opportunity to buy an UNLOCKED China model iPhone for less than $300.00, and you don’t mind not having iTunes… BUY IT! It’s the same thing!!!

        i can carry what ever device I want from at&t. I wouldn’t carry any idevice ever. So your assumption that anyone who dislikes the iphone can’t afford one is off base. I was given one and it sits in a drawer just like the previous 3i was given

    My colleague at work was saying when shes on calls it keeps cutting off, I looked at her and said, I did tell you before you went and bought it… she said I know but its and iPhone, later on another colleague was asking her how much it costs to get one, DOH, what is wrong with people?????

      oh yeah chief, you called it, this is definitely the end of apple. I’d say in a week the stock will be worth next to nothing and in a month the company will be completely dissolved. How’s that Zune of yours working out?

    it’s almost 100% certain now that this will become the iPhone 4G of 2011 release, especially with all 4 major US carriers offering 4G is some form by Q1 2011, verizon’s already pressing 4G SIM cards, T-Mobile’s AWS HSDPA+ is already faster than Sprint’s Wi-Max, it’s done!
