JooJoo 2 coming in early 2011, powered by Android?

Tablets

Remember JooJoo? Well, apparently they still exist even after some legal trouble and according to the latest reports, they might soon be back in action with the follow up to the original JooJoo. The Joo Joo 2, supposedly to be powered by Android, will be based on Google’s OS but totally modified for what “the tablet market needs now.” An example given was possibly unifying different messaging and social services like Gmail, email, Facebook, and Twitter into one interface. JooJoo said that the company is looking forward to being a multiple device company, so there might be even more JooJoos in the oven. We kind of have to ask… with the enormous success of the iPad and a new wave of tablets from known, established companies like Samsung and Research In Motion, would anyone even consider a JooJoo in the next couple months?

This piece of hardware looks as if it came straight from the back yard from the show “Sanford and Son”. Not to mention, it runs a fragmented OS. Apple remains king of the mobile and tablet market, with no end in sight.

      funny.
actually it looks like a big iphone running palm os

Good attempt at trolling. But in case you really ARE that stupid:

-Nokia & BB both have a larger marketshare than iPhone.

-iOS is actually LOSING ground to android “with no end in sight” (you douche)

-Android has seen ridiculous growth despite how much you cry “fragmentation!!” as if anyone cares. Guess how many applications I’ve downloaded to either my MyTouch 3G or my EVO that haven’t worked? None. Ever. Guess how much I would care if I couldn’t run that fart app? Not at all.

Kyle, while you were taking the time to blow out your popcorn fart response, I did a little research, and am still correct when I say “Apple is the king of the mobile and tablet market”. The proof is in the pudding, ass jacket.

how exactly is it that they are king of mobile if they are 3rd in market share???

        Ass Jacket!!!!!! LMAO……. :-D

      • ?

The joo joo looks like poo poo

    • Hmmm

      It does

    • kyle

really? I hope you’d say the same about the iPad then because it doesn’t get much closer than this in form factor…

      • NYCLady

Why do I have to mention the iPad? This is an article about the Joo Joo and it’s poo poo OS.

If it had a better name I’d consider it – once I saw the specs, price, etc.

What could name have to do with performance or value? Looking that the original, im sure ill pass on the 2nd attempt but not beause it has (IMO) a silly name. I own an iPad & iPod but personally think all of these “inames” was an easy escape for Apple to never have to come up with an original name that sells a product again lol. Bad, unoriginal names but good products nontheless.

Ehhhh android. Ill pass. Put a real OS on.

    JooJoo just won’t DieDie…

Let’s see if JooJoo version 1 was any indication… a 12-inch touchscreen slate… whose hard drive and memory could be upgraded… proven to run full Windows 7 (not just Windows 7 embedded)… or Android… or Linux… or multiboot… for less than $500… ok so what’s wrong with this device? Am I missing something?

    • Steve

Only the 2 biggest reasons for the iPads success: battery life and ALL apps being built for touch *including* third party.

  • dave

sorry, Joo joo, I’m going with either Samsung or RIM.

  • johdaxx

The problem with tablets in general right now is they are very very expensive. It’s either 500 or more possibly with a contract, or the bare-bones walmart one for $99.

I’d really like something decent for around 200 to 250 bucks. Wasn’t the Joo Joo originally supposed to be cheaper? ‘Cause I don’t think they’re quite on a level playing field with a 500 iPad.

    Nice, now that’s a tablet.
