Best Buy Mobile reveals new Free Phone Friday special for October 22

This week’s specials are in, and the folks over at your local Best Buy Mobile location have a few solid treats in store. Free Phone Friday, for those who failed Obvious 101, is a promotion that gives customers a new selection of free phones each week in October… on Friday. Here is this week’s lot:

  • Samsung Fascinate (Verizon Wireless)
  • BlackBerry Bold 9700 (AT&T)
  • Sanyo Zio (Sprint)
  • BlackBerry Bold 9700 (T-Mobile)

As you might imagine, each phone requires a new 2-year contract to be had for the low, low price of nada. As you also might imagine, this offer is only good for one day — Friday, October 22 — so get ready to head out bright and early Friday morning if you’d like to partake. Or, of course, you can just order these puppies up from the Best Buy Mobile website.

    The Aria was featured twice for att, so far. This makes the second go ’round for the Fascinate for vzw. There have been several Blackberrys. Let me not forget the Ally. So much for highend phone offerings. There have been too damn many repeats. Best Buy blew this. Sorry, gotta do this. FreePhoneFridays = FAIL!

    Yipppp….I also got the Fascinate the first week! However ended up returning it and paying the difference for the Droid X, GPS issues were a little too much to handle along with horrid signal strength. Only in this day and age will a person give back something that’s free! Yes the call and data signal was that bad..oh well!

    The Fascinate with that Big Red Rom is worth exactly that: ‘nada’! Where’s the EVO; where’s the Epic 4G; where’s the Vibrant; hell, where’s the iPhone 4?

    This seems too good to be true. There must be some restrictions on top of the 2 year contracts one will have to commit to.

    Was planning on going to BB to check it out – got the iphone about 9 months ago and miss the blackberry… terribly… wondering what the catch would be if I wanted to go to the Bold.

    Alright Best Buy is still a business, you cant give away the top selling android phone like the evo, iphones are too expensive to give away and theres reasons behind giving phones like the aria and intercept away more then one week for free, and the Zio just came out
